1.0 out of 5 stars awful, 21 Sept. 2017
Did you ever watch fightclub and think "i wonder what this would look like if it was dumbed down and written by an old man who has a stereotypical view of millennials?"
wonder no more! just watch mr Robot.

the show is incredibly full of itself, its very "we gonna fight the system MAN! all you sheeple need to wake up". we have a dead eyed protagonist who has the emotional range of a zombie and yet is surrounded by people who wanna be his friends "hey youre soo cool the way youre a loner with no emotion, i wanna know whats lurking beneath the surface" kind of thing.
we dont get realistic hackers, we get cool "hipster" ones all of whom style and dress to conform with the latest fashion trends, constantly doing drugs and waking in random places with random people.

If youre looking for a new show thats well written and smart stay away. watch westworld or the last kingdom instead.

1.0 out of 5 stars Amazing show, ludicrous price, 22 Aug. 2017
Massive rip off, £30 for TWO 45min episodes. the biggest tragedy is that the whole series (including these two episodes) is amazing! but for some reason they decided to really stick it to the european customers with this price tag.
stay away untill its priced more reasonably!

Alchemy Empire: Steampunk Daedalus Pinna Prop Single Earring
Alchemy Empire: Steampunk Daedalus Pinna Prop Single Earring

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, 12 July 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Its quite heavy.
its much darker than in the picture (the gold part is almost same color as silver part, and both are darker than the picture)
the point where you insert through the ear is on one of the 3 edges, so it doesnt sit like it does in the picture (over half of the base hangs off the ear) so you can feel it dangling as you walk around.

it looks ok but because of all the listed reasons you will probably only wear it when going out.

2.0 out of 5 stars Blizzard had an intern write this story during his bathroom breaks., 19 Mar. 2016
this is by far the worst campaign of the 3. its the shortest campaign of the three (the missions are on average under 30min each and theres only 19 of them). and thats on brutal, it will be WAY shorter if you play on the lower difficulties.

its inconsistent with the story of the other two: remember how kerrigan was the promised messiah of the universe? yeah the writer forgot about that apparently so that plot line isnt brought up at all.
they build up this epic final showdown for the survival of the universe but the terran are bussy killing off other terrans, and kerrigan is off doing... something. its a carbon copy of the final protos mission in WoL, except there the abscence of the other races made sense.

there are ZERO interesting characters (closest we get is a goth protos who tries way too hard to be a badass) there is a death in this campaign and they play it like its a big deal but yeah, its as impactful as the death of a red shirt.

gone are the awesome rpg elements of WoL, the branching missions, cool mini games.

the multiplayer is the same as before so I wont talk about that. although I will say it is barren, which is to be expected for a 6 year old game.

this gets a two star since blizzard marketed this thing 90% based on its story. and it fails on that front, HARD.

1.0 out of 5 stars No english subtitles for scenes with russian dialogue, 24 May 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It says Region B, does not specify what language, youd think english subtitles would be available in a film where they speak russian once in a while. not the case here, the subtitles options are all only scandinavian.

The movie is great, the blu rays lack of subtitles hurt the experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as i hoped..., 6 Mar. 2014
Let me start by saying i am a MASSIVE fan of the rebooted Castlevania. the first game is such an unappreciated gem is almost criminal.
mercury steam got me hooked big time, i bought a 3DS just to play mirror of fate, i even bought Draculas Tomb edition for Lords of Shadow 2.
and it breaks my heart to say LoS2 is not as good as the first game. I'll break it down:

Negatives

- for starters the game is 2/3 the length of the first game, 1/2 if you count the dlc content (bare in mind the first game is 25hours long)

- there are these forced stealth sections that start out fun but then get very annoying. why they couldn't be optional like they were in metal gear rising is beyond me.
while everyone complains about the "rat form" i thought it was a very nice homage to Bram Stokers Dracula.

- THE DRAGON FORM that got everyone hyped from the cinematic trailer is just a re-skinned version of the stone demon in the first game!

- the tomb box i got was pretty poorly made (but that's neither here nor there since this review is for the game alone)

with all that you wonder why i gave it 4 stars. well:

- The music is as good as its been in the previous games. its a bit more sombre which fits the tone of the game.

- the combat is fast and excellent and requires skill. not nearly as mash heavy as the game EVERYONE compares it to (GoW) funnily enough its closer to what inspired GoW, devil may cry.

- the main story is very good, you feel Gabriels inner turmoil without having it shoved down your throat. there are some pretty good twists and turns and you get a satisfying conclusion to the story but are left wanting more.

- the game is as gorgeous as the first game, best looking game I've seen on previous gen.

Conclusion:

i can wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed the first LoS. everything you enjoyed about the first game is here with some new additions. there are some short comings that keep this game from being legendary but theyre not nearly enough to make it average let alone less.
if you didn't play the first LoS then i would recommend you get it before getting this one. its an excellent game and its pretty cheap now. LoS2 does fill in the blanks but the first game is truly a remarkable experience.

there are rumors that there's been a lot trouble inside mercury steam during development of this game and it does make sense when you consider the delays, the layoffs, the bizarre changes (we were promised the dragon form would be playable and not a crummy cut scene to everything around you getting murdered)

anyway thats enough rambling. LoS2 gets a 4/5. this is a good game. but its sad since you can clearly see this game had the potential to be excellent.

3.0 out of 5 stars Shallow expansion, 8 April 2013
This expansion feels pretty shallow.

The campaign: the story is a DIRECT rip off of warcraft 3. for those who have played warcraft 3 just change these names around and you have the story

space satan = Zargaras
Kerrigan = Arthas (except they had the good sense to not have him do a 180 and turn good)
overmind = Lich King

except the guys from warcraft 3 had a lot more depth to them.
and as the story progresses you KNOW Legacy of the Void is gonna end with all the races banding together to fight off zargaras's i mean Amon's army.

The multiplayer: now the multiplayer is fantastic as always they didnt change much because not much needed changing.
they added new units but a lot of them are just tweaked units from starcraft 1 that were removed from WoL for bizarre reasons.
The hellbat is the firebat, the viper is the defiler etc.

so yeah id say the fun is 4/5 because main reason to play sc is the multiplayer and its just as good as it was in WoL.

but overall this is a very lazy expansion. minimal effort went into it and the story takes a massive nose dive from the excellent story of the original.
and kerrigans character is butchered, as are the zerg (lore wise).

3/5 for Heart of the Swarm.

1.0 out of 5 stars too easy for a dmc game, 28 Mar. 2013
il keep it short

pros
the art style is unique
the combat is ok.
theres a good selection of weapons

Cons
the music is dreadful
its way too easy!
the style meter is poor. it fills up too easy and wont go down unless youre struck which is easy to avoid
the dialogue is poor.
the characters are forgettable, unlikeable or you dont sympathies with them at all
the story is bad. with the other dmc titles you could tell they werent going for anything groundbreaking but here its like they try and fail. HARD

its an average game.
so why the 1 star? because its inferior to every other dmc that came before it in every way.
its a reboot sure but when you buy a dmc game you expect certain things:

good music.
good deep combat system.
memorable ball bustingly tough bosses.
punishing style meter.

this game has none of those unfortunately.
which wouldve been fine if it wasnt called dmc.

dont buy it expecting those things. if you buy it expecting an average hack and slash game you will somewhat enjoy it.

its NOT worth the full price purchase. wait till price drop if you want to give it a try or rent it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Seems like Ridley Scott has hit a plateau, 16 Oct. 2012
and he thinks the way to get past it is to revisit old success.

(vague spoilers)

the movie is all over the place, it throws question after question at you with no explanation, you can clearly tell it was written by the guy who did the last season of lost.
the characters keep doing things that are puzzling and "out of character" like killing each other or freaking out at dead bodies and touching hissing aliens or ignoring the fact that one of their own crew got friking impregnated with an alien!!

it was disappointing, and it saddens to see the fans fall for an old trick, that is "throw random symbolism here and there and leave it to the fans to discuss and create their own overly elaborate meanings out of it."

you can tell the writers dont have the answers to the questions they left unanswered, like what the hell the black liquid was, why an intelligent alien that made us freaks out upon seeing us humans and resorts to pounding on us like a deranged neanderthal.

it was sad really, and i seriously hope Ridley Scott leaves BLADE RUNNER ALONE!

gets 2 stars for a few cool moments that appeal to the inner alien fan (like the ending) but all in all its shallow, it ruins the space jockey by having them be albino humanoids.

but who knows, maybe il eat my words when the sequel comes out and it explains everything very neatly. In all honesty, i hope thats the case.
but until the sequel comes out, this movie on its own is aweful!

1.0 out of 5 stars unnecessary remake, 9 April 2012
this movie didnt need to be made, at all. its pretty much a shot for shot remake. the original is really good so you might aswell just watch that one. and in this one youl instantly notice how it lacks the spirit of the original, it just feels shallow. its just a quick money grab, the acting is aweful so are the dance sequences and it brings nothing the original didnt (but it takes plenty away).

in conclusion. if you haven't seen footloose, watch the original its far superior. if you have seen the original spare yourself the agony of watching a great film get butchered and... well DONT watch this one.
