5.0 out of 5 stars Zionism is an ideology, not a race nor a religion., 1 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A useful and little-known addition to the global library of knowledge about the mysterious Zionist movement.
The documents quoted by the author speak for themselves.
Any potential reader who doubts the seemingly impossible links between Nazis and Zionists should just do some simple research into the modern day state of Ukraine. See Shawn Walker of the Guardian, RT.com and YouTube videos on Google for credible evidence..
The official paramilitary "Ukraine National Guard" proudly wears Hitler-period swastikas and SS "runes" on their uniforms and flags. They are sponsored and financed by Israeli-passport-holding jewish oligarch Ukraine MPs, themselves openly sponsored by the US State Department and trained by NATO in the role of "Storm Troops". The three battalions of the National Guard are accused by European monitors of extremely serious human rights violations similar to their ancestors. All this is documented evidence. The oligarchs are proud of themselves.
I was extremely surprised by these happenings in Ukraine during the past three years, and now, thanks to Lenni Brenner's documented backstory, I can put the modern Zionist SS into some form of context.
"Zionism in the Age of the Dictators" now has a certain renewed topicality and is worth delving into if only to check out how such a worldly wise experienced politician as Ken Livingstone, the first elected mayor of London, will use Lenni Brenner's book as a justification for his comments about Hitler and the Zionists in the 1930s..
I have two evidence-based factual books which have helped me to make fair judgements about the Israel / Palestine struggle.
1. The General's Son son of a Zionist four-star general who commanded Israeli forces in the 1967 War and whose grandfather signed the original Israel Constitution. He is one of the rare hopes for a way forward out of the present situation. Check his million-views videos on YouTube.
2. The Attack on the Liberty: The Untold Story of Israel's Deadly 1967 Assault on a U.S. Spy Ship The notorious action which shocked America. Well-written full of detail. Excellent BBC Film documentary was also made. Check on YouTube. See how Zionism functions in action.

Saving Rachel (Donovan Creed series Book 3)

4.0 out of 5 stars A Real Whirlwind of a book !, 20 July 2012

I came across John Locke purely by chance last week via a reference in another book.

I was amazed at the extreme reviews his books seem to generate from readers..

According to his comments, the author regards "Saving Rachel" as the publication which defines his reader-base by polarising their reactions to it.

Those who like it, usually like all of his books, and those who loathe it, never buy another..

I am in the former group, as I enjoy the ingenuity of the plot, the creativity in the characters and overall writing.

Yes, it is not an easy read, but it does entertain which appears to be John Locke's sole purpose and he does it well.

I will buy more. I am very interested in the resuscitation of the western genre, so I shall look there next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully funny.. a must read...., 3 July 2012

Tom Sharpe is probably my favourite comedy author.
Can't believe it is already so many years that his books first came out.

I was drawn into buying this book, which is arguably the finest, by seeing a recent re-run of the tv mini-series made by the BBC many years ago starring the incomparable David Suchet as the hero and the gorgeously sexy Julia McKenzie in a catsuit and other fetish outfits as George Cole's mistress Blott on the Landscape [DVD]

I am not the only one to enjoy both the book and the video, judging by the reader reviews..

They simply don't make comedy like this anymore. It puts the Office and all its acolytes well into the shade..

Read it, Watch it, I guarantee you will be unable to resist falling about in fits of laughter !

Erotic Brits 2: Sexy Scotland
Erotic Brits 2: Sexy Scotland

4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable light read, 3 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is one of a series of books, each concentrating on a part of the UK.
I have only read this one on Scotland, so cannot comment on the others.

Its style reminds me of the old Carry On films - bawdy, naughty, rude but nice !

A bit of fun for an odd moment when you don't want to watch tv, and there is a storm raging outside and you are snuggled up in a cosy chair in front of the fire.

The author respects her audience and gives value for money - another happy case of "doing what it says on the tin".
She provides a number of thought-out stories from various parts of Scotland, with different characters interestingly described and lifelike, Some very erotic situations, some comedy, but never crude or pornographic. I don't think I would buy the rest in the series, but I don't regret buying this one. Enjoyable !

3.0 out of 5 stars Good read, solid story., 3 July 2012

I bought this book out of curiosity after seeing it take its author to the top of the Amazon and Apple best selling lists.

Obviously the author is writing about what he knows well - the police and press world of Greater Manchester - in his day job as a journalist. The detail of the characterisations, the environment and social life is very convincing and plausibly written. I am a native of East Lancashire and know the area quite well. He gives value for money with a longish book and has put together an interesting plot. But overall, there is nothing really to attract me to look out the next one in the series with the same characters.

Obviously his work is commercially attractive as he has now signed with a major publisher - good news for all self-published authors that ebooks are a viable way to start a writing career. It now seems that the publishers in the future may be seeking out the authors and not the other way round.

Mr Wilkinson has put a lot of hard work into his success and he deserves praise and good wishes for the future. I look forward to watching him develop his talent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little radio - I have used for years, 3 July 2012
This radio has replaced its grey predecessor, which I have been using for 10 years.
We have a number of sets, one in each room when we turn on as we move about the house.
Then my wife and I have one model each which we listen to on walks in the Scottish countryside.
They are all excellent and have given us much pleasure over the years and are like old friends.

This new black model, which appeared this year, is slimmer, lighter and very much the same. So we will continue to buy and enjoy it. We have bought two sets already. Great on reception and sound. Especially for Radio 4. Good battery life.

Only one small thing I would change, which makes me give it 4 stars and not 5 - move the earphones socket from the side to the top, so that when you carry it in your pocket (and isn't that the point of a small radio?) the plug doesn't get caught in your pocket. Roberts designers, please change this !

5.0 out of 5 stars Read this and be shocked..., 3 July 2012

This book changed my view on synthetic supplements forever.

My own doubts began when I was recommended to add more Vitamin C to my diet to give me more energy.

A visit to the local chemist and I was £20 poorer and had become the owner of a large jar of Ascorbic Acid tablets.

How can an acid be a vitamin ??

Well it can't, because vitamins are not simple things. They are a complex cluster of many different substances each relying upon the other to generate the effect for which that particular vitamin is designed.

Ascorbic Acid is one part of Vitamin C.

But in the eyes of drug companies, Ascorbic Acid IS vitamin C.

And that is why after paying £20 and taking the tablets for a week, nothing happened to me, neither good nor bad.
Because Ascorbic Acid is not vitamin C, only a neutral compound.

Apparently all the ascorbic acid in the world is now made in three gigantic factories in China, which supply all western drug companies, who then re-package under their own expensive labels.

This is a parable for all vitamin supplements according to the book - 95% of all synthetic supplements are simply useless.
Or worse, they harm you.

Read this book and make your own mind up. Judge for yourself whether the whole business is another multinational scam.

The information is there and the author has not been sued by the industry for false reporting, so make up your mind !

5.0 out of 5 stars It joins up the dots.., 3 July 2012

I bought this because it was recommended book of the week on a website on the internet and I wasn't disappointed.
I learned quite a lot from it, particularly how the market affects everday life in the aspect of morals.
It has become increasingly depressing in today's world that as corporations become bigger, their respect for their customer grows smaller in proportion. Coupled with the increasing reliance on technology, which has become a buffer dividing company and customer, rather than a link connecting them, it is very clear that personal relations have no place in modern capitalism.

This is the wrong business model as far as I am concerned and one that leads eventually to a cul-de-sac.

It is said that Margaret Thatcher craves a State Funeral. Not ever in my book - she started the change and forced us down the road that led us to the appalling state we are in now...
