Black Hole Sun is a fantastic track but rest of album is boring, middle of the road and bland.

Ok but verging on the bland, middle of the road rock that Americans and youngsters seem to love so much.

Great album, has a 70s British metal sound to it at times.

A Piano in the Pyrenees
A Piano in the Pyrenees
by Tony Hawks
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining Read, 28 July 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very entertaining account of Tony Hawks life in the Pyrenees... with a piano. Not quite as funny as Round Ireland, Playing Moldovans or One Hit Wonderland, but if you enjoyed these you will find plenty to keep you amused and entertained in this as well.

Playing the Moldovans at Tennis
Playing the Moldovans at Tennis
by Tony Hawks
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Very funny, very warm..., 16 Jun. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Another bet, another book! After a drunken bet with Arthur Smith that he (Tony Hawks) couldn't play the entire Moldovan national football team at tennis, Tony Hawks sets off to play the entire Moldovan football team at tennis - the title of the book says it all really. Funny, warm, affectionate storytelling, but not shying away from describing the hard life the Moldovans were experiencing at the time of his visit. Would thoroughly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value for money, bit on the small side though, 5 Oct. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
OK, I admit I'm slightly larger in frame than your average roadie, but I did find this a tad tight (I went for the largest size and it's rather, erm, "snug" around the middle). Pockets are smaller than I would have liked and it's definitely a Spring/Summer/Autumn gilet rather than a Winter one, but after all said and done, it's good value for money, very lightweight and looks good. Can't comment on how it performs when on the bike as haven't yet worn it out. Now, I just need to lose a bit of weight...

5.0 out of 5 stars ... of times so far but would appear to offer good value for money, 29 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Only used a couple of times so far but would appear to offer good value for money, easy to set up and easy to read whilst on the move. Has all the features that I need when out on a bike ie current speed, trip distance. Yet to use in wet conditions but so far so good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic - an enjoyably different take on the Norman conquest of Britain, 10 Aug. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fantastic storytelling of the time in history following the Norman invasion of Great Britain - only this time told from the perspective of a Norman soldier. The writer has pitched this just right; when I first started reading I was unsure, being a big fan of James Wildes' series of books telling the story of Hereward, forgotten English hero, and thorn in the side of the Normans, in the months and years following the Norman conquest, but having read the book I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who has an interest and an enjoyment of historical fiction. The attention to detail is terrific, the storytelling is gripping and it gives the reader a real insight into what life must have been like for a Norman soldier in 'occupied' England. I've come to these series of books only recently (there are two more in the series - The Splintered Kingdom and Knights of the Hawk) but am hooked and eagerly awaiting the release of the next one. Bernard Cornwell watch out - there's a new kid on the block and his name is James Aitcheson!
