Billys return, 11 Feb. 2003
About time as well. Where to start.... Firstly if you bought this album expecting a copy of the Pumpkins then you may be dissapointed. If you get this album with an open mind then the possibilities are endless. For a start it is the most fresh and origonal music i have heard for a long time. It moves well away from the constsnt distorted guitars with basic riffs which a lot of bands are churning out at the moment and into intricating complicated bliss. The three guitars form Billy, Matt and Dave just light up the album. The Bass from Paz gives the tracks a solidarity about them and of course Jimmy on the drums, the most talented drummer ever, keeps up his reputation by leading the band from the back. Billys unique and beautiful voice doesnt falter once and with his songwriting moving on from the powerful but depressive days of the Pumpkins into happier love songs but yet unlike many other love albums don't get repetitive with each song slightly different yet just as brilliant. I could go on all day about how amazing it is but the only way to find out is to buy it. If you haven't already then go and do it now.
