1.0 out of 5 stars Ignore device Instructions and just use logic!, 16 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I did eventually get this beast to work but not without tearing out the few remaining hairs on my my head! The Primary fault is that the Instructions have no resemblance to the actual device.
Example: Instructions say apply liquid to the cloth covering on the disc...Problem is the cleaning surface does not have a cloth covering, nor does the other side As you would expect it is a standard CD surface with 2 transverse brushes! I know that many of these devices come from Countries which do not have English as their Mother Tongue but this is totally beyond reality. Best advice is to ignore the instructions and do what you did the last time you bought one of these things- this one is exactly the same. The only thing I can see that may be an advantage is that it has 2 brushes rather than the normal one..

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb recording but labeling. very wrong, 5 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As a former singer in a Welsh Male Voice Choir anything such as this is both moving and uplifting. However there appears to have been a major c#k up in the labeling of the disc and cover. The listed Tracks are all there but listed in the wrong order. To check your copy select Myfanwy from the list on the back cover and you will find a totally different track will play. Doesn't detract in any way from the sheer pleasure of this disc but could cause a problem for someone with no knowledge of the Welsh language.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book!, 12 Sept. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is an excellent book and particularly to someone like myself who served on the Valiant Aircraft as a ground Fitter and then moved on to the Mark 2 Victor. The contents are relevant and, in some respects, illuminating. As Ground staff we all knew about our part in the, then, Bomber Command. This Book fills in almost all the gaps but remains eminently readable.

5.0 out of 5 stars For somebody who just wants a good basic TV this is ideal, 21 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For somebody who just wants a good basic TV this is ideal. The picture quality is excellent as is the sound - despite some reviews criticising it. I have a hearing problem and the sound is clear with a more than adequate volume range. There are some minor areas of concern but not sufficient to reduce a five star rating. The Remote Control is smaller than my previous SONY TV but is manageable with care. The main complaint is that the Instruction 'Manual' is limited in the extreme. fortunately the TV virtually sets itself up when power is turned on the first time. One very useful feature is the 'reset' command which is handy if you have dabbled a little too far in the settings - just select it and the TV reverts to the Factory settings

This one certainly ticks all the boxes for me. If you can listen to this without a lump in the throat you need to call the undertaker!

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, 11 Feb. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Delivered on time. Delivery was rapid and the packaging good. The Unit works well for most applications. However unless you have access to super accurate calibration facilities it wouldn't be capable of total accuracy. However having said that I have carried out some comparison measurements with my old Manual Vernier Caliper and so far the indications are that, as delivered, it measures the same.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not easy assembly, 23 Aug. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Putting together the base is easy. However fitting the Seat Squab and the Back Rest requires a bit of brute force and ingenuity. The Back Rest is in forced contact with the Seat Squab which makes inserting the retaining bolts difficult. It is necessary to insert the top bolts of the Back Rest first then rotate the Back using a fair bit of force until the 2 lower bolts can be inserted. This puts a strain on the Bolt and insert threads so tightening them needs caution to avoid stripping the threads. This somewhat dampens appreciation of the comfort of the chair when you have had to sweat a bit to assemble it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bit Flimsy, 23 Aug. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Card Shuffler (1-2 Deck Version)
It does what it says on the tin. However there are 3 features that limit it's usefulness. Firstly it is made from fairly flimsy plastic and would not take much of an impact to cause significant damage. Secondly, in spite of this being an advertised function, it struggles, and frequently fails to shuffle a whole pack at once. Cards need to be fed in at about one third of a pack at a time. Of course this leaves you still having to carry out a basic shuffle before the cards are used. The advertised '2 pack' shuffle simply doesn't work.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Music but strange CD, 23 Aug. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There can be no question as to the quality of the Music. However there are issues with the Software that created it. Apart from adding this CD to my Library I also intended to use it to rehearse at home for a forthcoming performance with my Choral Society. I usually listen via Microsoft Windows Media Player as my Family do not like Choral Music and my study provides a suitable medium. I found that it will not play on Media Player nor on anything other than a dedicated CD Player. It is also not able to be transferred to an MP3 or IPod for personal, and temporary, use only. Whilst the producers may think that copy protection is needed it seems to go too far by blocking the ability to play via a PC. I think this needs to be clearly spelt out by Amazon in its advertising. Only this feature prevents me from awarding 5 stars.

Previous recordings by Il Divo have been excellent. This one is, however, rather dull. The singing is of course superb. However the choice of songs is very poor and frankly tedious.
