4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, high-quality moisturiser. Expensive,but very good., 29 Oct. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a typical Gatineau product: classy, but expensive. It doesn't remove the signs of ageing, but it moisturises and protects, feels gorgeous on the skin, and has a delicate but fragrant scent. It feels high quality, and will last for a good couple of months,so you may well feel it is worth paying that bit extra. Recommended..but only if you can afford it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent exfoliator. But £37? Really?, 28 Oct. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is an excellent scrub. Feels good on the skin, like it is really working. Lightly scented, so.it is not intrusive, but pleasantly enticing. A quality product, and definitely recommended IF you can afford it. But can they really justify this price? Is it.so.much better than other, similar products. My wife approves, and says this is a good, quality product. But when I told her the retail price, she grimaced. If you can pick this up at a better price, I would recommend unreservedly. At this price, only if you can afford it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent trimmer...but be aware,it is exactly that-a trimmer!, 27 Oct. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is an excellent package. First,it's easy to open. That may not sound like much to you, but after fiddling for hours trying to prise some products out of the pladtic, that was a great start! Secondly,it is complete with a battery and a carrying pouch. As a present, it is a complete set. Buy with confidence!
And it works fine. Some reviewers have complained that it is only a trimmer, but ...that's what it is! It's a very good trimmer, but if you want complete epilation or plucking,go elsewhere.
It is perfectly safe. And it doesnt hurt. Two massive pluses, so.I.can recommend this.
It doesnt work wet. It doesnt completely obliterate the hair.. ( but neither does my VERY expensive razor). Instructions are virtually non existent, so.it is worth Youtubing for video advice. Which is why this loses one star. But otherwise, a good buy. Well worth considering as a present, providing you select the right recipient.

James Tyler Men's JT165 Blazer, Black (Schwarz), 54 (Manufacturer size: X-Large)
James Tyler Men's JT165 Blazer, Black (Schwarz), 54 (Manufacturer size: X-Large)

3.0 out of 5 stars Odd hybrid of smart and casual jacket, somewhere between formal and informal., 26 Oct. 2016
This review is from: James Tyler Men's Blazer (Apparel)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is an odd one. Designed like a smart blazer, but made of a jersey or fleece-like material, it is a kind of hybrid jacket. Doesnt look right with a jumper underneath it, not formal enough for work or special occasions. There's nothing wrong with it, and if you can decide where to wear it, it is well made and reasonable value. Might work as lightweight jacket for warmer weather. Sleeves slightly long, but the extra large fits okay ( I'd use the word large, not extra large myself). If you can work out when to wear this, then buy with confidence. It's a well made item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant work. No substitute for watching the series, but approach with the right frame of mind, and you will find a world of my, 24 Oct. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First, this is not a conventional novel. It is a beautifully produced dossier of faux historical documents, clippings and articles, revealing a series of historical conspiracies ,leading inexorably to Twin Peaks. It's fascinating, thorough, based on real historical events, beginning with the Lewis and Clark expedition, and ending at the end of series 2 of Twin Peaks.
What, you were expecting this book to preempt the new series? Dont be ridiculous! It DOES reveal the fates of some of the non returning characters, and it DOES set up the basic premise of season 3. But it leaves the real business of Twin Peaks to the new series itself.
What it does do,is deepen and broaden the scope of the series. Its a rich, immersive read. Go with it and dive deep. Fabulous stuff.
As to what it all means..the universe is filled with mysteries. This is good. But secrets are the work of men. This is not good. And the world is full of secrets....some of which are exposed here,by Mark Frost. Come with the right frame of mind, and you will love this.

Withings Thermo Smart Temporal Thermometer
Withings Thermo Smart Temporal Thermometer
Price: £89.95

4.0 out of 5 stars Clever.gadget..really helps those with young children or thermometerphobic older relatives, 24 Oct. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Now this is cool. Takes the temperature without physical contact, clever app to measure the results, neat ( though slightly rude-looking design)....ideal for those with wriggly uncooperative babies or even wriggly uncooperative adults. Caveats: it is not cheap. You really need to want to invest in this for your family's health to spend that amount of money. Secondly, the app is fiddly to set up, and took several goes to get going. Maybe my incompetence, but not as easy to get going as some reviewers have suggested. Worth the effort? I'd say yes. Good product.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real treat for the old mince pies, guv'nor! Recommended( and not just for soft Southerners), 24 Oct. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
As a mere Northerner, you might think this book has limited appeal. A description of the finds discovered by someone who spend years searching through the mud of the Thames for historical artefacts...who cares? Well,I do. And so should you, because this book is an absolute delight. It's essentially a fascinating historical record, only instead of fossils or antiques, the record is the detritus of London, scavenged from the mud. Each object ( or fragment) is lovingly researched and catalogued. The book is lavishly illustrated, and beautifully presented, but the content is the real star here: history brought to life on every page. Fascinating and thorough, the writer's passion pours from every single page and carries you along with him. By the end,you will be dying to don galoshes and head South. Gaw blimey guv'nor, it's a real treat and no mistoike! ( apologies to D. Van Dyke)

5.0 out of 5 stars Sharp and powerful mouthwash. You will FEEL cleaner!, 23 Oct. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is powerful stuff. When you first gargle with it, you feel tiny sharp knives stabbing relentlessly into your gums. Feels harsh, but very clean. This is great stuff, makes you feel cleaner and healthier, and does an excellent job. Recommended!!!

David Beckham, Beyond, Shower Gel, 200 ml
David Beckham, Beyond, Shower Gel, 200 ml
Offered by Amandas Gifts
Price: £4.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent, average shower gel, but nothing special., 20 Oct. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Disappointing. The Beckham eau de toilette is excellent, with a lovely tasteful aroma, excellent packaging, and I would strongly recommend it for yourself,or as a gift. This shower gel,on the other hand is....okay. Scent is citrusy, but fairly weak and doesn't stay, packaging looks a little worn( deliberately by design, but it looks cheap and damaged, rather than classily distressed.)
Average. And the price isn't. Not recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars The modern day safe pressure cooker, designed for idiots. Brilliant!, 16 Oct. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is essentially a pressure cooker, which could easily replace your pressure cooker, your slow cooker, any other gadgets you may have. It is perfect for soups and stews, cooks very rapidly ( whole chicken in an hour!!) And is an excellent and safe piece of kit. You will use it.
The gimmick is that there are fifty recipes included which the screen takes you through step by step. It says it is foolproof. Sceptical me says Oh yeah? Lets see....
Sadly, Tefal one, Hatfield nil! I tried six recipes at random. Every single one was excellent, and even pleased Fussy Wife and Even Fussier Daughter. Dustbin Son wolfed the lot down, but he is much easier to please. It is fast, easy to clean, and much safer than old school pressure cookers which always made me uneasy as they steamed and rattled ominously in the corner.
The price is high, but you WILL use this, I guarantee! By the way, the fifty recipes is just the starting point...once you get the hang of this, you will be improvising curries, stews, sweet and sour, risottos...
