4.0 out of 5 stars Geeky but Good, 6 Nov. 2010
If you know what MQ is you must own this shirt. If you don't, why are you even looking?

It's a good quality shirt for it's type, it's not going to give years of loyal service but who'd expect it to?

3.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat dated, 12 Aug. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
In 1968 everything was less sophisticated; sets, plots & science. Some of the early stories (like Seeds of Death) can stand this and have survived well. Others, like this, have not. It's an essential story for die hard fans and completists (like me)but for someone who's watched the new revived Dr Who and is trying to get into the classic serial start someplace else.

Try Seeds of Death or if you prefer colour Seeds of Doom. Unrelated stories despite the names.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than many spin-offs, 29 Jun. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's a strength of the revived Dr Who show that it's managed to spawn 2 quality spin-off shows. Torchwood is seriously more adult than DW while this is aimed at the child to teen market. If you accept that the stories and characters are simplified for that reason, they're still good stories and very entertaining. Certainly you can see how the stories could be transposed into the the DW show. There's also enough nods to keep adults interested, and some quality guest stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Old, but not classic, 30 Mar. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There's nothing wrong with this DVD box set which is well presented and filled with features. Like many early stories, these Dr Who episodes have not aged all that well. For the fan it's an important time, the last of the original assistants leaving, and for the TV fan it's a valuable slice of 1960s TV complete with wobbly (but then state of the art) sets and shows recorded live and telecined.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than most, 1 Aug. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The last and one of the best of the Troughton era stories. Obviously has the poor production values that charactorise this time in the show's history, but the story makes up for it with a well perceived exploration of man's propensity for war. Also the first time that the Time Lords make an appearance in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Convienient and useful, 1 Aug. 2009
So useful it hurts. I have 3 of these in 3 colours for different clients. Total security, total separation. Wonderful. No laptop should be without one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says, 1 Aug. 2009
Simple to use, convienient multi-country adapter and just plugs in to any PC. No issues, no nothing. Wonderful, if slightly cumbersome when used with a laptop. But if you're in the same place for a few hours at a time, no problem

5.0 out of 5 stars Good story, well read, 27 Jun. 2009
It's a nice Dr Who story, especially good as it would be prohibitivly expensive to film! The vocal talents of the reader are used to the full to bring the narative to life; if there's a criticism it's that the story is a little A->B->C even by Dr Who standards, and the ending is more concerned with making a moral point than finishing the story.

But it's a good, entertaining piece and worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Classic TV, 28 April 2009

It must be said that there are better known fictional detectives (and better known authors) but Peter Davidson does a good job of bringing Albert Campion to life. As always the BBC does a spot on job of bringing the period to life, and a solid supporting cast makes this eminently watchible.
