5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent debut from a talented writer, 23 Mar. 2017
I've followed Gillian McAllister's blog for a number of years and always enjoyed her writing. I was nervous therefore, that I might not feel the same way about her debut novel. I had no need to worry though - it's a gripping, intriguing story that had me hooked from the first chapter. Highly recommended.

Semi-Detached
Semi-Detached
by Paul Heathorn
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £6.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, surreal and at times outrageous!, 29 Nov. 2004
This review is from: Semi-Detached (Hardcover)
This is one of the most surreal books I have read in a long time. Very entertaining and full of hilarious mishaps, my only disappointment was the weak ending. Nevertheless, I will be looking out for Heathorn's next novel - he's set himself a high standard.

Fake

by K.K. Beck
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book, for adults and children alike, 9 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Fake (Paperback)
As an adult I really enjoyed this 'teenage' book. The characters are well thought out and the plot has several unexpected twists.
The blurb describes it as a thriller and I probably wouldn't go that far, but it certainly holds your attention and is full of suspense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 20 Aug. 2001
Beth Redman has given us a gem of a book, in Soul Sista. Aimed at teenage girls, it covers lots of relevant topics, such as boys and body image.
The format is excellent, and the 'Word Up' sections at the end of each chapter feature lots of great Bible verses which are related to what has already been said in that chapter.
This book should be on every girl's bookshelf, whether Christian or not!
