1.0 out of 5 stars Truly awful book, 30 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book is so bad, it's almost comical.
Very poor English, very irritating style of writing, Elite publishing ?? for who ? Kindergartens!
This book certainly does not teach anything from scratch, all it does is list some new features and say, they are brilliant so you must use them, that's about it, truly unbelievable.
I would say this is the second worst book I have wasted money on, out of over 3000 i have purchased over the years.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is a con, 2 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I realised that the new global warming religion was nonsense 3 years ago, so was attracted to this book.
Please don't waste your money, this book is awful, extremely short (after 15 minutes I was at appendixes), poorly written, basically a con.

1.0 out of 5 stars Simple short pointless, 10 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book is a con - the title says advanced sql - either the author is lying or he has no idea what advanced sql is.
I'm always on the lookout for good sql books - I wish there were more available, such as those from the only good writers I have found so far, being: Joe Celko, Izek Ben-Gan, Stephane Faroult, Chris Date.
Especially needed for Postgres, for which only boring admin books are available.
This book is mainly about grouping sets and running totals - using outdated techniques, no longer relevant if you have - window functioned aggregates - even ms sql server now has these ( since latest release). Postgres has had them for 6 years but the author did not know this, saying they were only available in db2 and oracle!

2.0 out of 5 stars washes well but poor reliability - poor drying - flimsy shelf, 25 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have been very happy with many stylish samsung products - such as huge fridge freezer, great washing machine, laptops etc
Unfortunately though this design is a dud.
My top of the range Bosch dishwasher packed in after 8 years - I had never been that happy with its washing ability (dull glasses for example) so I went for an alternative.
The Samsung does wash better than the Bosch (sparkling glasses) but it has so many negatives, that they outweigh this.
I was attracted by the space freed up by using a cutlery tray - however cutlery often not then cleaned so not good.
The middle shelf is adjustable - but only 2 positions - either too low so you can't fit large plates below or too high so you cant hardly fit anything in it - its also very flimsy - it broke within 2 weeks of purchase and again after being replaced.
The programme control is annoying because it does not remember your last setting and you can't change the default - which is a pointless unhygienic cold eco mode - you then have to toggle through several options to get what you want - very irritating.
Also even on hottest mode - the machine does not dry very well - many dishes remain wet especially if you don't empty immediately - not very pleasant emptying cold wet dishes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Delicious - If Fresh - A big If unfortunatly, 3 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First batch I bought where a delicious 5 star.
Unfortunately though the supplier cannot be trusted.
Recent batch of 12 jars was terrible.
Supposed to be a clear honey - but these were significantly crystallised - like half set honey - horrible texture and taste nothing like lovely first batch of super runny golden gleaming deliciousness.
I won't risk buying again due to significant cost also I don't have time to mess around with returns.

5.0 out of 5 stars tastes great and kids love em, 12 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My daughters are quite fussy with food - no chance of getting them to take fish oil !
It's surprisingly difficult to find children's vitamins which include DHA - the the most important one for brain development - so I was happy to find these.
My kids love the taste (I like them as well ) they even ask for more than I give them - so all in all a great product.

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing / low tech / poor design / poor quality, 3 May 2013
This review is from: ROBOMOW RL 555 (Garden & Outdoors)
Considering the name - I expected a high tech modern gadget - I was very disappointed - feels like something made in the 1970's let alone 21st century.
When it works does an okish job - fundamental problem is relies upon an unreliable perimeter wire which is a real pain to set up - then is unreliable.
I've had constant problems with the wire and when it breaks there is no way to find the break - which is crazy for a long wire completely hidden under grass and soil.
Surely they could use a few radio beacons or one should be able to teach it where to go.
User interface is horrible and very old fashioned - about as sophisticated as setting my boiler - you can't operate without the manual you have to traverse up and down many tedious sub menus.
Controller is cheap flimsy plastic - holder clips broke within a few weeks.
Not a surprise I suppose - made in USA ! I wish some Japanese or German or Korean company such as Samsung would make a more modern one.
Other gripes - does not work if grass is the slightest bit wet - just gets stuck all the time - a bit of a problem in Wales (esp last summer) - does not handle tall grass - does not collect cuttings - so a bit messy - you basically have to set it mowing every few days to keep tidy - but this is not as easy as it should be - because its quite heavy - too heavy for my wife to lift - so is also a pain to get onto the grass.
We have to store it inside in order to charge it (where it gets in the way using up space) because this model (even though its quite pricey) does not come with any way to charge or keep outside - also has a stupid design where you have to charge the heavy lead acid battery (which runs out quickly) only when its inside the mower !! The battery is easily removable so why on earth not have way to charge externally - this really annoyed me. So all in all not impressed at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars truly awful machine - beware, 6 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this after looking for a powerful blender to replace brilliant krups blender - which i could not find for sale - after 5 years regular use.
This product is a poor quality badly designed horrible machine - it started leaking within a few weeks of use - after 3 months the glass cracked - the motor is so violent it's ridiculous - i wanted power but not uncontrollable power - the dial goes from zero to hooligan maximum immediately - with no finesse in between - result is a regular plastering of gravy or coffee (i like butter blended in coffee) everywhere including one self - you have to try and move the dial extremely slowly and hold the lid down with huge force to have any chance of avoiding getting splattered - if you have any reasonable volume of liquid inside - not just me - my wife had worse experience she was not strong enough to hold the lid down so she got plastered every time - Only good point is it was very cheap - i suppose you get what you pay for.
