5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic value for money, 8 Dec. 2015
Fantastic value for money. Clear sound; great for listening to podcasts, good battery life, easy to use. Might not be up there with models several times its price in terms of bass or sound quality but at this price it is a no brainer.

2.0 out of 5 stars Staggering visuals. Woeful gameplay, 27 Feb. 2015
This review is from: The Order: 1886 (PS4) (Video Game)
This is undeniably a beautiful game, truly incredible detail which at times is nigh on photo realistic. If you want a game to demonstrate the graphical capabilities of this generation's console then this is it.

But the gameplay is utterly and pitifully bad. I started the game thinking, "this is all a bit linear, there's a lot of lengthy cut scenes..... but it'll probably open up and get a bit more dynamic once the scene is set". A few hours in and no, I'm still watching lengthy cut scenes, occasionally tapping the x button quickly and playing the occasional shoot by numbers section every now and then. The sections that could have been fun such as fighting a Lycan boss are inexplicably choreographed so you have to randomly use a different set of buttons to the rest of the game - it's just awkward and feels like there was no attention paid to user interaction design.

A few days in, I can't even be bothered playing it as I don't want to watch any more cut scenes, walk down a linear pre determined route and spend time picking up an occasional random bit of scenery that has no material value to the gameplay.

If you can drop the money for the graphics then go for it, but don't exepect to enjoy playing it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, exactly what I was looking for., 3 Oct. 2012

OK so it's not real leather but it's a great product. A nice snug fit as the name suggests and it provides a soft interior which also cleans the iPhone as it's pushed in or taken out. The case is slim but reasonably padded which means it still fits nicely in my pocket whilst providing some protection from when I inevitably drop the phone. Delivery was quick too.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing and incomplete, 22 April 2009
One of the few MCSE 2k3 upgrade books available it is unfortunately incomplete and full of errors. It is OK for a starting point but you will need to do a lot of supplementary reading to fill in the glaring gaps that this books leaves when compared to the syllabus.

5.0 out of 5 stars The way it should be listened to, 11 Oct. 2005
The Downward Spiral has been one of my favourite albums for many years and 11 years on, it still sounds good. However this SACD version almost defies description, taking what is already a masterpiece to a higher level.
The anger, disillusionment and despair present in TDS is communicated with such force through this beatifully rendered and realised version of the album that, for the want of sounding twee, its more of an experience than an album of songs.
I can't recvomend this enough, if you like NIN then this is a must buy. Even if you only want to check out what the SACD format is capable of, this is an excellent demonstration (though I would imagine it makes pretty difficult listening if you're offended easily or don't like your music loud and distorted). Listening to the original stereo CD again just feels flat and unsatisfying compared to the experience that this SACD delivers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful game, 4 Dec. 2003
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
What a beatiful game, the closest you can come to having your own Matrix moment.
Blow things up and watch as people and objects fly through the air, everything reacts the way it should when its hit or moved - its all so immersive and detailed and if you've got a DX9 gfx card all the features are used beatifully.
The story and cut scenes are OK too which is surely a first for this kind of game and is hopefully a taste of the future crossover of movies and games we've all been promised but has not yet been fully realised.
I loved this game for the first week but sadly like all things that burn so bright it quickly faded and I'm not playing it much anymore.
Definitely worth buying though, if only for the joy of dual ingrams...........

Network+ All in One Certification: Exam Guide
Network+ All in One Certification: Exam Guide

4.0 out of 5 stars I bought it and passed!, 26 Nov. 2001
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Nicely written book that is a good introduction to networking if you have little or no idea (like me when I bought it).
Michael Meyers does tend to labour the point on some areas but at least you don't go away feeling confused. I used this book along with a couple of exam programs off the internet and passed the Network+ with 97% (or an 875 on CompTIA's scale).
The practice questions with the book are a bit simplistic compared to the real thing but are a good start to testing your knowledge from the book itself. However the explanation of a couple of the networking technologies doesn't go far enough and you may have to look elsewhere for a bit more information in order to prepare you for the real exam.
In summary the book is easy to read (its the only textbook that has ever made me laugh out loud!) and I would definitely recommend it.
