5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the wait!, 18 Nov. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Halt Perspective (Paperback)
For all students of the UFO phenomenon and the Rendlesham Forest Incident in particular, this, the latest in a long sequence of brilliantly-researched volumes, is a 'must have'.
From the horse's mouth, we have Col Charles Halt's definitive account of the events of December,1980: unbiased, authentic and truly astonishing, we can finally discover the truth behind the most convincing UFO encounter on British soil.
Ex-police detective John Hanson has had to endure a lot to put this book before the public: I read my copy in three days and am more than happy to recommend it to anyone with an open mind. Well-worth the price, bearing in mind that £35 will hardly buy a pub meal for two these days!

5.0 out of 5 stars this novel is as hard to put down as a glass of good claret! Patricia Fanthorpe's characters come alive through her ..., 12 May 2015
Written with humour, imagination and a broad knowledge of history and mythology, this novel is as hard to put down as a glass of good claret!
Patricia Fanthorpe's characters come alive through her writing, and the reader finds himself truly caring about what befalls them!
As a Norfolk Man, the descriptions of the old mill and the landscape in which it sits are utterly convincing: I was drawn into the narrative by the first paragraph!
A really good yarn!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you enjoy well-researched historical novels in the 'swords and sorcery' genre, 12 May 2015
I have been a reader and collector of Lionel Fanthorpe's novels and investigations into the paranormal since the nineteen sixties, and this book sits well on the shelves alongside the others!
'Garan of the Veneti' is a well-crafted, fast-moving tale, with enough sub-plots and suspense to entertain and captivate any reader.
If you enjoy well-researched historical novels in the 'swords and sorcery' genre, you'll enjoy this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars A 'must have' for those interested in the UFO phenomenon., 27 Oct. 2014
This, the latest in an impressive series, is a vast collection of carefully-researched data about the global UFO phenomenon.
Each new volume shows improved standards of graphics and collation and the switch to a new publisher was a wise move.
Whether you read the book from cover to cover or just dip in to research a particular event, this is a 'must have' for students of the subject.

A third in the series of 'must have' UK UFO archives.Any serious researcher cannot really afford to omit this volume from their collection!
I had the pleasure to present a copy to Moonwalker Dr Ed Mitchell recently: he expressed his admiration for the book and acknowledged the work that had gone into its production.
Well done John & Dawn!

5.0 out of 5 stars Long overdue!, 28 Aug. 2010
This book fills a gap in the library of any serious UFOlogy student: it provides a complete chronology of the phenomenon in the UK with a wealth of well-researched first-hand accounts.
The illustrations, maps and tables are first class, and the paintings are almost photographic in quality!
I cannot wait for the next volume to become available!
