4.0 out of 5 stars Fun to be had with this though, 20 July 2015

Graphically weak considering it's on PS4 but generally an okay game, involving and varied. Not entirely sure about some levels being parodies of 80s video games. Fun to be had with this though, and certainly recommended considering the low price. Just don't expect GTAV

5.0 out of 5 stars Glad I took the plunge, 20 July 2015
This review is from: Golf Club Gold (Video Game)
Played all the Tiger Woods games until the latest version but found them somewhat gimmicky. This had mixed reviews and so was reluctant to buy. Glad I took the plunge. The best golf game I've played and vastly superior to the EA sports offering. Putting isn't difficult. It simply requires a few moments to read the green. The more you play the better you become, which is how it should be. The weekly tournaments are great, with no ridiculous scores unlike TW. There's also endless variety due to users being able to upload their own creations. The career mode (on disk or DLC) has depth and is challenging without being frustrating. The only slight issue I have is the wind system, which at present feels somewhat weak and inconsistent. This feels like a proper golf game though. Really don't get the negative reviews here - I wonder how much time the reviewers have actually spent with this. If you like golf or golf games then you will like Golf Club.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hated it on first listen but this takes time, 11 May 2015

Hated it on first listen but this takes time, a few plays. A brave change in direction. The poor reviews make sense as this isn't so immediate or accessible. Initially sounds bland but worth persevering

Best footie game on the PS4, as 15 is too fast-paced.

Tough, very tough. The first two levels are slightly dull and the graphics overly grainy. But once you get the hang of the gameplay, this comes to life.

Ultimately dull and with little sense of whether this is an action game (sporadic) or plodding adventure game. The puzzles are slight and far too easy to solve. Presentation is of a high standard though.

Studied a few years ago at university (postgrad). Recommend a reading guide/lecture notes to get the most from. Also, I believe this is the public domain version. As such it's free and possible to make notes on the Kindle

Presents his arguments eloquently and convincingly. An important contribution to the discussion of childhood in its historical context. Well worth reading.
