I laughed and cried my way through the whole book!, 9 Mar. 2014
Karen touches on a very serious and personal subject, but invites us on her private journey with a certain amount of humour and great self determination that she can beat the Big C. She arms herself with good friends, an amazing husband, her two lovely teenage daughters, the dreamy Dr 'Clooney', and her poor bicycle that gets just as bashed and bruised as she does along the way! We learn with her how we can tweak our eating and drinking habits to improve our health, and shares a few good recipes for us to try out too! What I get the most from her story is how important our 'everyday' lives are that we take for granted. Searching for as much normalcy in her life during such a big ordeal is just as important as all the medical care she gets.
