5.0 out of 5 stars Kind on skin, hair and ethics, 25 April 2017
I've used this product and the beard oil; both are excellent quality oils and worked wonders on tired skin and prickly facial hair - both softened measurably. The fact that this comes direct from the producers just makes it all the better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks great, but contrary to what other reviewers found, 6 Feb. 2016

Looks great, but contrary to what other reviewers found, the magnet just wasn't strong enough to hold the strap in place. I like my watch to be relatively tightly held so it sits comfortable under my cuff - but after having to adjust it a dozen times in one morning despite doing nothing but sitting at my desk, I have now returned it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good at the basics, poor at the rest, 6 Feb. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The value you get from this product really depends what you want from it. If you want a small but powerful Bluetooth speaker for a small room, then you have it. If that small room is your bedroom, be prepared for a piercing white LED to disturb your downtime.

If you want a good looking piece of electro furniture, then you have it.

But don't expect it to do anything else it claims to do - internet radio constantly breaking up; very limited music services; repeatedly failing to find my NAS drive, sometimes even while it is streaming songs from it. And the app looks as though it was designed by a five year old on a blackboard. I couldn't even begin to compare it to the Sonos app - I have even started thinking iTunes wasn't that bad after all, after seeing what a botch Bose have made of their user interface.

So it's OK - but no better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great - but not for coeliacs, 16 Sept. 2015

Be warned - the product is great but this is the version which contains wheatgerm. If you are looking for something wheat and gluten free, look for Floravital. Unfortunately the product details on this page do not highlight the presence of allergens in the product, something of an oversight for a health product.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mediocrity in a box, 28 Mar. 2015

Ghastly. I guess I shouldn't expect too much given the price but...
1) The instructions. I will accept that all - OK, most - of the words in the English section are indeed found in the English language. But I have never seen most of them used in the order they are found in this document. It takes a degree of patience and codebreaking worthy of Turing and team to decipher some of the more cryptic instructions. Be prepared.
2) The kit: I was most interested in this as a headcam. The headstrap is too small to fit around my head. Not a good start.
3) The output: white balance is terrible, colour mix is terrible. These can be tweaked through a hidden config file, but you have to do it through trial and error - remove the HD card, adjust a parameter, replace the HD card, take a video, remove the HD card, view the video, adjust a parameter...
4) I have not found any way to remove the data/time stamp from my videos & pictures - this does not appear to be an option in the config file.
5) Look online before you buy it - many disgruntled customers who can't get the firmware to upload, allowing them to extend the recording time. I have yet to try to use it for a long recording so I don't know whether it is still an issue with newly sold devices, but it does give you a feel for the quality of what is being offered that at one point, 3 minutes at a time was the best you could do, and they still thought it was OK to sell it.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Essentials (PSP)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Essentials (PSP)

3.0 out of 5 stars Is That It ?, 18 April 2006
Firstly, some background:

(1) I am a long-standing fan of the SC genre, and played all of the first three games many times (many long hours spent at my PC before it died a sorry death). My expectations of this game were therefore high.

(2) As an early acquirer of a PSP, I am still waiting for Sony and their associates to come up with a game which defines the platform. There was always a chance this would be it.

To the review...

The Good:

- Yes, it's Splinter Cell. Yes, stealth and long-range weaponry play a part. And yes, most of the moves we've come to love translate well onto the handheld console. Lighting is good, rendering is surprisingly good for the size of the screen, movement is a bit clunky but quite playable.

The Bad:

- 9 standard missions and 3 bonus missions. 50% of these are missions you've played before, albeit in a slightly different way. So, essentially, you're paying for 6 new missions and 6 reworkings of previous missions.

- The back story is flimsy, the cut scenes shoddily put together. It feels cobbled together out of half-conceived ideas, and at the end of the final mission you just sit there thinking "was that it" ?

The Ugly:

- Clipping ! If you stand too close to a wall, the chances are you'll see what's on the other side. Look at something from the wrong angle and you'll be looking from inside Fisher's head. Not pretty. It all makes for poor playtime, and forces you to move out of close cover to see where you're going.

- Audio Synch: if you combine scheduled audio (eg comms with Lambert) and ad hoc audio (eg comms with a NPC) then it gets all confused, runs out of synch and generally gets SNAFU'd. I even had to commit suicide to get rid of a text box plastered over the top left corner. Poor.

- Stuttering: combined scheduled audio with lots of visuals and the poor machine just can't handle it. Stand by for slowdown, stuttering and general poor performance.

In Summary: barely worth the effort. Mine's going back today as I've completed it within the 30 day guarantee period. Not even worth saving for a rainy day.
