2.0 out of 5 stars Underwhelming, 21 Dec. 2015
Sound is ok but it has a very loud series of tones which signal connection to a device. These tones can't be shut off, muted or turned down and are particularly irritating and intrusive.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not much use, 17 Jun. 2014

Billed as a tough product, this thing lasted less than half an hour with my Staffie-cross. Better off with Kong balls which really are indestructible.

I bought this because the Kong balls are so good but Staffie-cross took only two days to reduce this to shreds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 17 Jun. 2014

The only ball I've found that is truly gnaw-proof. My Staffie cross destroys tennis balls in seconds and rubber balls in minutes. This has lasted a month so far with not even a scratch. If your dog is a chewer, this is the ball you need to buy. Do bear in mind, however, that it doesn't float. I had to go wading to recover it from a lake. Luckily, I hadn't hurled it far from the shore. I should also mention this review pertains to the medium sized ball, not the small.

Morphy Richards Cafe Mattino 47070 Programmable Filter Coffee Maker - Stainless Steel

3.0 out of 5 stars Poor, but . . ., 17 Jun. 2014
Condensation all over the counter and the electric components probably contributed to this unit ceasing to work after less than six months. Disappointing product.
I'm editing this review and adding a star after contacting customer service at Morphy Richards. They have been absolutely wonderful, sending me out a new unit without even asking me to return the old, defective one. The only request they made was that I recycle their old product properly - ie take it to a recycling centre rather than just tossing it in the trash. The coffee maker may be flawed but the customer service is second to none.

The old master's most well-known book that still shocks in its portrayal of a future that is thirty years behind us. Buy it again for this new cover that is a work of genius.

This review is from: Life After Life (Hardcover)
How did Kate Atkinson pull this off? The structure of this book is complex and yet she manages to make it effortlessly readable. Beautiful writing and a gripping story that never loses its direction. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not depressing, or not very, 24 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
An extraordinary book that covers the history of the fight against cancer in all its forms. The writing is warm and human, conveying the hope and the hopelessness of both patients and doctors. Statistics and medical terms are smoothly folded into a narrative that never loses sight of the fact that, in the end, cancer is all about people.

Sticky yoga mat, Saffron Orange
Sticky yoga mat, Saffron Orange

3.0 out of 5 stars Saffron?, 24 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's a stretch (if you'll forgive the yoga pun) to call this colour saffron - more of a putrid carrot really. The mat is soft and sticky enough. A bit smelly fresh out of the bag but this does fade. Probably fine in another colour . .
