5.0 out of 5 stars Mr Kurtz, 8 Feb. 2013

This is an excellent book. I found every page interesting. Ms. Wrong takes you through:

A journey across Zaire, describing a rich and amazing country
The potent history from Stanley to Mobutu
Across social strata and how each layer was corrupted

She enthusiastically exposes the vested interests of America, France and Belgium and the impotence of the IMF and the World Bank. All of which ignored the plight of the millions that died as Mobutu took his people and their economy into an abyss.

This book amazed me, saddened me but gave me a glint of hope for the people of the Congo.

Unfortunately this app only delivers a grainy picture. I hope that this is improved significantly because in its current state this app is not enjoyable.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money, 18 Jun. 2012
i agree with some of the previous reviews. the projector runs hot, the image is often 'out of focus' or very grainy. the battery is perpetually out of charge. it cannot be charged via USB as well. overall, i would not get this projector.

ARCHOS 10.1 8 GB Internet Tablet
ARCHOS 10.1 8 GB Internet Tablet

3.0 out of 5 stars Archos 101, 4 Jun. 2012
the positives outweigh the negatives with this product.

My main disappointment about this product is that the screen viewing angles are terrible. The screen resolution is also very poor. With hindsight perhaps the blackberry playbook would have been a better purchase at this price point. My version runs android 2.2 and so limited the apps available. one the positive note, the archos 101 has good connectivity, USB , HDMI, SD CARD....

4.0 out of 5 stars good introduction to economics, 28 Nov. 2011
This is a very well written book, its accessible and informative. the condensed idea summarising the chapter is a feature I particularly liked.

Innergie mCube Plus Dual USB Charging 95W Universal Power Adapter
Innergie mCube Plus Dual USB Charging 95W Universal Power Adapter

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not if you lose the tips, 28 Oct. 2010
This product does what it says and can charge your laptop, plus up to two usb devices. it is a bit bulky but this is to be expected for the range of products it can charge. The charger comes with a small bag of tips which enable you to charge different products. the problem comes if you lose a tip. you have to pay $15 to get a replacement!! compare this to powertraveller products who send you out a tip free. I think that this is poor customer service for very little addtional cost to innergie. so for this reason i am giving them 3 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars amazon kindle, 7 Oct. 2010

I have had the kindle for a while. i have to say it is an excellent product and good value for money and is cleverly supported by a number of apps that enable you to continue to read across multiple platforms. you can change the font size, the 'read to you' feature is a great idea, particularly for those with a visual impairment but it would be great if they could have a more human voice. the webkit browser is ok but it is experimental, the article mode makes it much more readable. The only thing is that many books are still not available on the kindle. if you want a reader this is a good one.

1.0 out of 5 stars excellent quality poor price, 1 Sept. 2010
the economist is an excellent magazine but between amazon and the economist they have managed to come up with a price point that is too high. please please reconsider. we all want to subscribe...but at a reasonable price

Motorola H710 Bluetooth Headset
Motorola H710 Bluetooth Headset

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent, 27 April 2010
i have only had it for a day but i am impressed. It is easy to set up and fits on my ear very well. switching on the handset by opening up the boom is a good idea. I tested it on a noisy street and the person i called could hear me quite clearly. this is shaping up to be a good headset.
