Guild Wars: Ghosts of Ascalon
Guild Wars: Ghosts of Ascalon
by Matt Forbeck
Edition: Mass Market Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, 28 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The story itself seems to stand apart from whatever seems to happen in gw2 itself, however, the story is great, the insight to the races are really nice, it's fun to find hints towards the books in the game too.
Really enjoyed reading it and i do recommend it to anyone who plays the game.

Guild Wars: Edge of Destiny
Guild Wars: Edge of Destiny

Edition: Mass Market Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite of the 2, 28 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Both guild wars 2 books were amazing, they add so much more to the background of the game so for anyone that enjoyed gw1 or gw2 i really recommend reading them as they add more insight to what's going on in the world and also add's more insight to the races and in this case what's going on with destiny's edge.
the humour in these books were great and i really enjoyed reading them.

Official Xbox 360 Common Controller for Windows - Black (PC)
Price: £19.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes certain games better on PC., 28 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Because of all the indie games relying on controllers i figured i'd get one, on amazon it was cheaper than it was in any store around here so that was an easy pick.
You can't remap the keys without using xpadder so if you don't have any games without built in controller support this might now be the item for you, though xpadder does a really good job of fixing that issue.
(xpadder is a program you'll have to buy.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Met expectations nicely., 28 April 2013

So after my brother got one with resident evil umbrella chronicles i wanted one too, it plays rail shooters a lot better than just holding the controller, it adds a bit more fun to the game.
This design is pretty sturdy, it's designed to hold the wii motion plus and for the nunchuck you can put the wire against the handle (there's a small section you can put it in so it doesnt get in the way of playing).
I might have to add that if you want to use the wii motion plus on it you'll need to remove it from it's cilicon protection cover, but that's not much of a problem i found out and you can easily get it back in. (just be careful, but this of course goes without saying)
Also pay attention to how to open the backside to slide it in, don't just try to rip it open.

5.0 out of 5 stars amazing strategy game, 29 April 2011
I've been looking for a good strategy game for quite a while now, my favorites in general being age of empires and command and conquer series but this time i wanted something more challenging, well, i found it
the single player's pretty good, haven't tried multiplayer yet as my computer is already forced to play it all on low graphics etc.
it's a great challenge, during the turn based mode you build armies, upgrade your cities, create diplomatic relationships etc
and when you encounter an enemy or lay siege on a city, the game turns to real time where you command your armies
i'm loving every moment of it, only downside is that even on easy, it's hard to beat the game, when you think you're becoming unstoppable, all of japan considers you an enemy of the state and goes to war with you...
you can't really leave anything unattended in this game, so when you play it, be wary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some adult humor., 18 Feb. 2011
I'm still reading this book, i open it whenever i get the chance, and every time i read it i chuckle of the funny things this writer came up with.
Basically it starts of with an explanation of what a bro is, followed by a kind of dictionary on the word use of "bros"
Which are mainly sex related, or about women in general...
It's not a book with a story, so that might put some people off, but i'm still enjoying every page i read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good help for a great game, 18 Feb. 2011
Bought this after buying the new golden sun game for the nintendo DS.
It's great to find all the hidden things and places in the game, it has all the encyclopedia entries, all the summons you can find in the game, all the items are mentioned with small maps of the areas and numbers and letters to show where things were hidden
It also came with a world map that's about 3 times as big as the one that came with the game with on the side locations of djinn you can find on the world map and the names of all the places in the game.
If you're a fan of the new golden sun game, this might be a very good buy as there's a lot of things in the game i would not have figured out how to do if it weren't for this guide...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great solo play, good online play with annoying bug, 2 Dec. 2010
This review is from: GoldenEye 007 (Wii) (Video Game)
I finished the solo play a few days ago and had fun the entire time i played it, there's several difficulty levels, and after finishing chapters you can do speed runs to unlock cheats (so i hear, haven't done any yet)

the online play is good too, several game modes and a leveling system used to unlock weapons and gadgets (they're like the perks from COD MW2) should keep you occupied for a while if it weren't for 1 major bug

the online play sometimes freezes...
it seems to load for a while, or at the end of a match, and there it goes, nothing works, the only way to get out of it is to unplug the wii which is rather annoying.
besides that everything seems to work great :D

5.0 out of 5 stars so much fun, 4 Sept. 2010
This is a great game for the wii, i've seen someone play dynasty warriors before, so i can say it's pretty much that, it's got quite a lot of options to keep one playing, most characters have a different story line, all story lines have a few chapters, and most chapters start or end with videos that sets a nice atmosphere while playing, there's an option to set the spoken languages to either english or japanese (personally i prefere the japanese voices, but i do admit it's harder to understand while you're in the battlefield even though it's got a bunch of subtitles, it's hard to fight and read at the same time)
you don't start off with all the characters, so you earn rice to unlock characters, there's several playmodes, story, free, a castle mode and history, i haven't been able to try the online feature cause i have unstable wireless internet.
it can be played using all wii controllers, nunchuck, classic and gamecube controllers which i find is pretty cool
the difficulty settings are also quite well balanced, easy is quite easy, you slash through most enemies with ease, some missions that require you to defend an ally and force you to beat an opponent can still be quite tricky, and it's very hard to beat all the tactical bonuses in a round, so while it seems easy, you can't always wonder off alone

once you beat story mode once you get a 4th difficulty setting too, and i've tried it once, and i ended up dying after 3 hits, so even for hardcore gamers it'll be a nice game

i honostly can't really find a down side to this game...
maybe camera controll, but i never really bothered much about that cause you'll find yourself slashing away in massive enemy armies most of the time anyway
good fun and i gave this game a 5 star rating because of that, i've played it for almost 20 hours and i only did 6 story lines so far, with many more to follow.
definitely recommended to any wii owner

Ainol V2000SL 3" Lossless MP3 MP4 MP5 Player with Remote Control 4GB Expandable by MicroSD Card

5.0 out of 5 stars great product, 21 April 2010
i've bought this mp5 player for myself before, and i LOVE it, it's kinda hard at first, but the supplier put a sticker with a link where you can download the manual in english.
after learning where the on button is it's pretty easy to use, the button you see on the bottom of the player works as a 7 way button.
it came with a cable to also link it to your TV, a remote control, usb cable and earphones.
it's played pretty much everything i stuck in it, ebooks, mp3, WAV, AVI and JPG files
i use it every day, and love it every day, haven't had any problems with it yet.
and if anybody says you get a better image on an ipod, look at the difference in price...
the screen is VERY clear and very good to watch anything really, i played anime on it which even my laptop has problems playing, and it worked fine.
also bought one for a colegue at work who was interested in it, waiting for it do be delivered now.
