Impossible to adjust the height of the wire and if you could it was incapable of cutting through anything. AVOID this gadget

I bought this for my six year old daughter and she ( and I) both adored it. The story ditches the usual stereotypes that seem to abound in girls books for this age group and delivers a brave, funny, clever Esme. I've been recommending this to everyone with girls of this age. Fab

5.0 out of 5 stars Claude in the City, 13 May 2011
This review is from: Claude in the City (Paperback)
I bought this book for my daughter who is 5. She loves it and it has been re-read many many times! The story line is slightly bonkers, somewhat quirky which adds to the appeal. A great book for the transition to chapter books as it has lots of fantastic illustration and is VERY funny. Gutted there is only one so far in the series but have just spotted Claude on holiday is coming soon. Hurrah

This is the most excited a cookery book has made me feel in a long time. It has genuinely different recipes to most of the books that just rehash each others contents. There is lots for the experienced and inexperienced cook to learn. So far I've made the speed chilli con carne - not so speedy at 3 hours - but by far the most complex flavoured and amazing chilli I've ever made or tasted. Have also tried the Tamarind pork belly , another gem and already a firm favourite. I can't praise this book enough - do buy it!
