1.0 out of 5 stars waste of money, 28 July 2015
Right, before I kick off, no discredit to the seller. Review is aimed at product only.

Purchased a Vision Spinner 2. On the surface seemed a good product. Worked well, initially pleased. Been running with a Mini Nautilus.

However, after 3 weeks of happiness, it has managed to strip the threads on the ego attachment. Now only good for the bin.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good set of cans for the price with one major drawback., 29 Dec. 2014
Was in the market for a new set of cans after the recent demise of my old, trusty Sennheissers. Came across these on special offer at a local chain music retailer. Must be noted that I didn't buy from Amazon, so can't comment on delivery, so will try to keep the review on the product itself.

First the good points.
These are a very solidly built set of headphones for the price range. All materials are of good quality and very well screwed together. The phones themselves are Aluminium which sets them a notch above other plastic cans of similar price. I like the braided fabric cable which does a good job of preventing tangles and looks pretty good with the subtle Rasta colours. The head bands is canvas padded opposed to traditional foam and faux leather. Altogether a pretty good looking product with a bit of a retro look.
The sound quality is overall very good. Some may say the are a bit heavy on the bass, but I tend to like a slightly bass heavy set of cans. They generally give music a extra depth whilst still handling the mid ranges and treble well. Works very well with general MP3 and Spotify but sometime audio on Youtube can be a little muffled with the bass heavy sound. Bass can always be turned down a little with most equalisers you can find on most media players.

Bad Points.
By jingo, these are one uncomfortable set of phones. They are a very tight, snug fit which does a sterling job of isolating noise, but after an hour or so of use, the relentless pressure causes some painful throbbing of the ears, ending up having to take them off for a bit relief. Can't really put them back on for the rest of the day because of sore ears. Hoping this may sort itself out with age.
These are primarily designed for Apple devices, they do work on others, but best check first. I run them on an Android Sony Expeira running on Kit Kat. Work fine, however the in line volume control does not work.

Overall, a very well built set of phones with a bit of a retro look, very nice deep sound, good noise isolation. Not universally compatible with all devices. Very good but let down with comfort issues.

1.0 out of 5 stars What, Can't Hear!, 29 Nov. 2011
Bought this headset as thought Nokia would be a safe bet. Unit looks lightweight and comfortable. Went all downhill from there. Like other reviews, the on off button can only really be operated properly by people with matchsticks for fingers. And the volume!!! or the lack of it. Maybe ok in an empty room, but if you plan to use this for in the car, maybe talking to others on car kits, forget it! It is so quiet, you struggle to hear. You have to push the unit so far in your ear just to hear a conversation it becomes really uncomfortable. Most times I have to pull over just to hear a conversation and end up taking it out as it becomes so uncomfortable. Not a good buy. Best avoided.

Dumb plot, wooden acting, ridiculous action sequences, hollow characters, comedy baddies. PERFECT!!!! Grab the popcorn, put your brain into neutral, sit back and enjoy.
Never enjoyed a movie so much in ages. Does not take itself seriously, stunts so far fetched they were funny (and probably intended to be funny!). Sort of a self parody of most action flicks pulled off with some panache! Don't get if you are looking for serious thriller, this is a light hearted, entertaining action movie at its best.

4.0 out of 5 stars GT 5 PS3, 27 Nov. 2010
This review is from: Gran Turismo 5 (PS3) (Video Game)
Well, this certainly has divided opinions! Firstly,I believe some of the more negative reviews posted have been slightly premature. Anyone has has played GT games in the past will know that it grows over time. It is not the type of game that you jump straight into and drive all the top cars around the top circuits. These have to be earned through playing it. This is nothing new in the series, so some of the negative comments posted by others are unfair.

Overall, I think the game is excellent. The set up will be familiar to those who have played GT3 & 4, some good new tracks as well as old favourites. Obviously there are some omissions of past tracks, but hey, you cant please everyone. I am not going to judge it on Nurburgring only being available in Specials section. I am fairly sure it will appear later in the game. Graphics are excellent, plenty of cars to choose from and the handling dynamics are spot on. I hear criticism that the game play can be slow. This is NOT a full on race game, or arcade drifter, GT never has been. If that is what you want from a game, GT is not for you.

So why not the full five stars? Well gripes are minor. Yes, I agree the loading times are slower, but not to the extent that have been reported. Its no great hardship to wait a few extra seconds. My main bug bear is the AI of some of the other cars. If you are leading a race and being challenged from behind, you are in for trouble. Take a defensive line to protect your position, you simply are rammed and fishtailed off the track and sent to the back facing the wrong way!! Imagine this in real racing! The FIA would be down on you. Similar in some of the Special stages. Your opponent can ram you as much as they like with impunity, if you nudge them - instant disqualification!! Though they would have sorted this from GT4. In addition, some of the special stages are so ridiculously hard, I am pretty sure they are impossible (some of the 1st places are completely out of reach) Why put them there?

I have read other reviews criticising that you simply tune your car up and the whole thing ends up a time trial. Is this really a fault of the game? Its up to you how much you want to tune up. If you want to blast ahead, you can. Equally, if you want to race with the pack, don't tune your car as much. Simple.

Overall, an excellent game developing on in the series. Graphics are good and gameplay consistent with the rest of the GT series. It is a grower, so if you are are looking for a full on speed racer that you can jump into immediately, its not the game for you. If you want a grower with the sense of earning and achieving you will like it. Problem is with all the delays, Polyphony have raised expectation too much and made a millstone for their own neck. Don't take any notice!! Its really good if you are used to and like the GT series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good - Could have been better, 7 Jun. 2010
After catching the 360 show in Cardiff, I was eagerly anticipating the release of the concert on Blu Ray. Cant help but feel slightly disappointed.

The overall performance from the band is good, we all know Banjo's voice aint' what it used to be, which is excusable after so long in the trade. The major gripes are with the production.

Firstly, it seems that the director has had too many cameras at his disposal. The editing jumps far too quickly from one camera to another, mixed with arty-farty shots to a point where it really begins to get on your nerves after a while.

Secondly, much of the concert has a grain effect rendering for artistic purpose which sort of defeats the object of filming and releasing in HD. Also, most of the bonus footage is only in standard definition.

Finally, the biggest gripe, as mentioned before, the omission of Breathe as the opening track. The main feature seems to open half way through the second track!?!? No band entrance, no build up! Very strange. Who ever decided on this ought to have the contents of my Wheelie Bin tipped on their heads!

Overall, a decent release, could have been better with a little more care and attention. For fans and collectors. For those wanting to see a classic U2 gig, captured in all its glory and well presented, go for Zoo TV in Sydney or Elevation in Boston.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does Not Fit Blackberry Bold, 16 Sept. 2009
After losing my original case for my Bold, ordered one of these, as the picture was the same. On receipt I found that the case looked nothing like the one on the picture and does not fit a Blackberry Bold as described. Nothing wrong with the quality of the case or the speed of the service though. If you want a case to fit a Bold, maybes best avoided. My original case has since turned up, so all in all, a bit of a waste of money.

3.0 out of 5 stars GTA 4, 9 May 2008
Like most others I was waiting in eager anticipation of the release of this game, and quite frankly, I'm very disappointed. Sure, you cannot argue with the quality of the graphics. The depth and the attention to detail are second to none.

However, what Rockstar seem to have done is strip out all the fun elements that made San Andreas and Vice City so good. Missions all seem to be very linear and very repetative to a point where it now has become slightly boring.

There responsivness of the difficult and confusing controls are absolutley abysmal. Cars skid all over the road, seem to refuse to go around corners or brake and the motorbikes are virtually uncontrolable. On foot, things are not much better, steps are missed and ever changing camera angles do not help.

All in all, a wasted opportunity by Rockstar. Completey missed what made the franchise so good. I will stick to San Andreas and generally nowhere near a contender for COD4's crown!
