Not a bad reading but ‘An Essential Guide for Serious singers and Musicians’ Saphron Watson, is far more powerful and in depth.
At a time when everybody wants to be famous or celebrities everywhere we turn we are reminded of this desire with newspapers forever printing stories about the rich and famous, and rock stars. Now we are faced with music talent shows so many to name but the voice and X.Factor are the majors ones along with Britain got talent and America got talent.

Such a wide choice and accessibility should increase the odds of a number of unknown artists being recognised and also having their fair slice of the cake. But in reality this is not true! There are many video sharing sites and file sharing that is destroying the music industry.
It would not be fair if you are an artist was to focus on the negative aspect of the bias control that the music industry has over musicians but it does go on which the books goes into. But you should be aware of the game.
However, it is important to note that the: ‘an essential guide for serious singers and musicians: will cover the below questions and much more...

• Provides a graph showing a decline in certain style of music
• Shows why certain music is popular while others is not and why
• Why made the music industry began sinking quicker than the titanic ship
• Why most music today sounds the same
• The music industry functions on a need to know basis and why they take this attitude with the artist that signs up with them.
• Why people are refusing to stop downloading music and how this now affect the artist’s income
• Why the music companies take revolution music to make them commercial
• Copyright and music law
• Signing out of a bad music contract
• Making sure you get paid properly at gigs
• Marketing your band properly an much more…

If you want to understand how the music industry thinks and why they function the way they do then this book is just for you by Saphron Watson on Amazon!

All You Need to Know about the Music Business: Ninth Edition

Edition: Hardcover

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad going, 11 Feb. 2016
Wonderful read but it does not seem to have the legal and industrious bite that: 'An Essential Guide for Serious singers and Musicians' have The latter goes is musician friendly in my opinion as no other music books go into protecting the artist from bad payers, awkward managers and dealing with loopholes in promoting our material despite the age of wrestling with file sharing.

An Essential Guide for serious singers and Musicians is real as it does not promise you fortune and fame but tells you that only hard working and getting your name out there with good marketing strategies works.

The book is okay for what it is. But for me; it does not fill the wide gaps and depth that: ‘An Essential Guide for serious singers and musicians,’ by Saphron Watson, does. Everyone is aware of the problem with the music industry with the birth of the internet, and file sharing; but this book does not guide you through the marketing process of making you a viable band, dealing with the pit fall that we face as musicians; while giving wonderful detail of music organisations that does not only protect our business; but actually explores the musicians rights when performing in places that refuse to pay, or are bad payers!

We are musicians, and we have made more money reading, ‘An essential guide for serious singers and musicians’ because now we know how to negotiate with confidence when we book venues, and we get loads of gigs because of the book!
