I had hoped to get the 8th edition, but amazon rewarded me with the 9th edition. If you don't know the 9th edition is so amazing.. it's printed in India this is such a great country. the paper is so special, i have never seen paper like the indian paper used in western books. So refreshing to be blessed with this wonderful paper.
Oh and the binding. So easy to open the pages, and it seems they even used extra glue, so blessed i am with the glue. glue glue I love this extra glue in my book.
The ink is also so amazing, the ink is so good it is everywhere.
what a great book, i love it so much, i wanna use it in my bathroom.

Viking Timberwolf Adult Mountain Bike Tandem
Viking Timberwolf Adult Mountain Bike Tandem

4.0 out of 5 stars great value, 25 Jun. 2016
to answer someones question. the gearing is 24-34-42 and looks like a 14-28 block.it's certainly undergeared on the open road.
considering what you must pay for a 'real' tandem, the viking is really good value for money.
I have had this tandem 5 years now, it's had new pedals, brakes, saddles and seatposts.right now i'm looking to switch the front stem and bars.
I did buy a new chainset, but it's still in the box waiting for the first one to die.
Of course it would get five stars if the tubing wasn't so heavy, but we know thats not realistic at this price. it's not cheap & nasty - just cheap and heavy!!

CFA Level 2: Essential Formulas
CFA Level 2: Essential Formulas
by BPP Learning Media
Edition: Paperback
Price: £30.00

2.0 out of 5 stars incomplete, 5 Jun. 2014
its a 48page booklet - 24 pages of formulas, 24 pages blank for you to fill them out.

FCFF and FCFE formulas are missing (probably the most important for this exam), and there are only 13 financial ratios listed (there are 40 in the CFA texts). HHI formaulas are missing the decision values. Taylor rule missing.. oh I give up. use the free elan guides pdf.

not worth paying money for really.

5.0 out of 5 stars straight sincere summary of current knowledge, 29 May 2014
mh370 was and still is all over the TV, nobody has a clue what, why or when whatever happened happened.
This book summarises what you already know, and the bits you missed.
Other reviews claim this book to be sensationalist - it is absolutely not sensationalist.
5stars, it's pitched exactly right.

3.0 out of 5 stars a tale well told, 1 July 2011
This review is from: Hunt For Zero Point (Paperback)
Odd mixture of unrelated stories. The title implies it's all about zero point energy (such as the casimir effect) which there are actually a few pages on.
Some stories are current like ion propulsion, or very old, such as aircraft with statically charged wings to reduce drag.
Somehow it heads to nazi ufo's, and odd assertions about what an 'anti gravity shield' could do (reduce air pressure, or knock satellites from orbit).
The book leaves you wanting to find out more about nazi secret weapons programs, but there is also a hint that it was just a wheeze by the prisoners to save themselves.

I was expecting a journey of the casimir effect, sonoluminescence, cold fusion etc. But I guess since the author is aircraft guy, I shouldn't complain. That said, its a good read though.

Cactus Basics (Pyramids)
Cactus Basics (Pyramids)

1.0 out of 5 stars very little information, 30 May 2011
The book is 128 pages. up to page 20 is the introduction. all pages after pg 47 is a 'plant directory'. and 7 of the pages in between are valueless 'arty pictures'.

so if you're keeping track this book is really 20pages.

As a newbie, I wanted to know about the soil, how to water, how much light to give them, feed etc etc. There is a page on soil, but it doesn't explain how to make the soil, just that its a 'source of endless debate'. And just 5 lines covering seed sowing.

In summary, you will learn more from the first web search you try.

Hacking Exposed J2EE & Java: Developing Secure Web Applications with Java Technology
Hacking Exposed J2EE & Java: Developing Secure Web Applications with Java Technology
by Brian Buege
Edition: Paperback
Price: £37.95

2.0 out of 5 stars nothing new here, 18 April 2007
There is nothing in here which is not in 'Java 2 Network Security/Pistoia' so I'd direct you to that book if you are looking for an overview of Java security.

Also very little on non J2EE (i.e. J2SE) applications. 'Covert Java/Kalinovsky' has some real word techniques. So in summary, not much exposed.

3.0 out of 5 stars great preparation material., 18 April 2007
I'm pretty sure that if I were to try & write a book in a foreign language, the grammar would be many orders of magnitude worse than this book. Ok, so the reason you're looking to buy it is that you want realistic interview preparation material.. this is the book. lots and lots (400 or so) of realistic interview questions - but - the answers leave a lot to be desired. Is this such a problem? Well I guess you shouldn't be reading this to learn the language, so I guess not. "How do you stop a thread? Thread.stop()". Sorry the author doesn't get the job. But _you_ just might!
