1.0 out of 5 stars the worst oasis cd ever, 9 Oct. 2008
This review is from: Dig out Your Soul (Audio CD)
I can't believe how rubbish this cd is.
I have been an oasis fan from the start much like everyone else.
But i can't take in how boring this cd is.
When i 1st heard the new single i thought its not great but it was ok but after a few listens it grows on you,This album does not.
There is not 1 classic stadium anthem on this cd every song is dull and dreery.
I think the oasis plan now is see how much we can sound like the beatles around yellow submarine.
listen to me you would be better saving your money and buying an inflated priced oasis ticket and going to see them live at least they may only play 2 songs from this effort

4.0 out of 5 stars Another fine piece of work by the dogs, 15 July 2008
This review is from: State Of Grace (Audio CD)
The Street Dogs never seem get it wrong,
Yet again they have managed to pull off another cracking album full of sing along and good fist in the air tunes.
The only reason i am not giving this cd 5 stars is i do think 'Fading American Dream' is slightly better and for some reason i don't think Mike McCoglan and the gang need to be adding a cover version 3 songs into there new material.
Songs like 'kevin j o'toole/rebel song and two angry kids'are just some of the highlights to be found on this cd.
I wouldn't say the street dogs have driffted away from the usual celtic sounds but there is a little less than usual.
All in all if you like any other street dogs music you will not be unhappy hearing 'state of grace'
Roll on the live shows.

1.0 out of 5 stars big disapointment, 25 April 2008
I can't begin to tell you how disapointing this game is
I looked forward to this for about 6 months and i could just throw it away
It is by far the hardest game ever to control and it is only playable if you use the chuck which defeats the prupose of the wii
The game makers have a great deal to look at if they are to follow this up and i'm sure they will.
I think there is some cheap game with darts on it avalible for the wii.
I would go for that if i was you.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best of british drama.., 27 Feb. 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I can always remember watching this series on tv first time round and being totaly gripped every week.
It was the highlight of the week.
Now that all 3 series are in one box set i can't wait for mine to arrive tomorrow
I can't remember much about the third series 'gold' but the first 2 are great.
The second being crazy compaired with the 1st.
Great acting from all 5 main women in this and the stepping stone for samantha morton to greater things.(well not greater maybe bigger)

5.0 out of 5 stars Their Best cd in years, 30 Jan. 2008
This review is from: Here We Stand (Audio CD)
I'm not one to review every cd i buy but i had to take this chance to let the good people out there how good this cd is.
It's by far the best work since the clasic'shock troops'album.
There is not 1 bad song on this cd straight from the very first track 'too late'
If you are a cocksparrer fan you are going to love this cd.
Track 9 "spirt of 76'"is a belter.
Still plenty oi in there to keep the old guard happy and slightly a bit more moderen probably down to being mixed by Lars Frederiksen.
Buy this album with confidence that it's not some old punks trying to make a few quid with a come back album.
Can wait to see them play live at Rebellion 08..

5.0 out of 5 stars definitely NOT near finished, 19 July 2007
This review is from: Living In The Fallout (Audio CD)
Far from finished are the best up and coming street punk you will hear.
There debut cd 'eastside of nowhere' is up there with the best debut cd's ever i kid you not.
I have heard around 5 songs from the new cd and they carry on where they left of.
'heros and ghosts' is a cracking tune but so is every song i have head so far.
If you want to try a new band out give far from finished a chance they deserve it.

5.0 out of 5 stars quality, 1 Mar. 2007
Jared Leto must have been into music before movies because this is a quality album usualy i think actor turned musician = making a fool of yourself this is not the case here.

this is the 1st 30 seconds cd i have ever heard and i cant rate it highly enough its great the music is strong and powerfull and jared's singing is way better than his acting.

i realy hope that's the end of the films and this band are around for a while.

if your into i hate saying EMO then its up your street i call it good rock music.

now im going to buy there other material you should start here.

1.0 out of 5 stars same old songs again, 1 Dec. 2006
This review is from: Monsters Of Rock (Audio CD)
why do these record labels keep releasing these same old songs on the same old title 'monsters of rock'?

don't buy this cd because i bet you probably have all the songs on another best of heavy metal cd in a different order.

com'on record labels do something original.

but nice to hear gillan again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Taken back in time & loved it, 14 Feb. 2006
This review is from: Ascendancy (Audio CD)
Being a 36 year old i thought the time of good old thrash metal had passed.Growing up in the 80's was what it was all about obituary, morbid angel, repulsion bands that did something special.
For the last 15 years we have lost that.
I have been going to buy this cd so many times because of the reveiws and that wee sticker on the front, but its to easy to follow those reveiws that don't mean anything apart from give the record company the cash and you will listen to this once.
How wrong can i be about trivium what a cd old school guitars and drums that obituary would be proud of.
The only minor downside would be a little to much mike patton type vocals (nothing wrong with mike patton) but stick to the growling and full on vocal assault.
Anybody that loves grindcore & good thrash metal will love this. What a welcome change from the drivile we have listened to since scott burns took a back seat.
IM HAPPY SO SHOULD YOU BE, BUY TRIVIUM.

Good Mourning
Good Mourning

4.0 out of 5 stars matt skiba and co are back, 12 May 2003
This review is from: Good Mourning (Audio CD)
i have been waiting for a while to listen to the new alkaline trio album just to see if matt skiba and co chould keep up the good work after the last few great cds (maybe i'll catch fire & from here to infirmary)this offering has a darker edge to it but don't get me wrong its just as good if not better than the last cd.matt skiba is a trully talented songwriter and this offering should break the alkaline trio into the mainstream.we need a rest from all the teeny pop/punk rubbish thet we are having to listen to at the moment.surely if this group get the radio play they will be the next green day or offspring.good work matt keep up the good work.
