4.0 out of 5 stars Head unscrews - Assemble it correctly - the instructions are missing an important step!, 24 Aug. 2016

AmazonBasics Tripod for Video Camera 67... Many people have found then when panning the head unscrews and falls off. - it does. You must assemble it correctly - the instructions are missing an important step !

When you attach the head to the top of the pole by screwing it on, you need to tighten the three tiny grub screws on the round plate at the top of the pole. This will prevent the head from unscrewing itself when you pan. follow this.

Raise up the pole a little and clamp it using the height adjustment level at the top of the tripod. Make sure the pole tight and cant move.
now screw on the head, round to the left as tightly as it will go.
NOW ! under the round plate, at the top of the pole there are three little grub screws, you need to tighten these with the small hex key provided. These will lock the head and prevent it from unscrewing.

You can now loosen the shiny screw to the right of the spirit level (panning lock) and you should be able to pan left and right now, without the head unscrewing. Not too that the pole is still locked at whatever height you want.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to the Foredom Flexi shaft., 18 April 2014

Being able to quickly change brushes is a real bonus. Just be aware that all your burrs and brushes need to be on 2.35mm shanks. Most are, but I do have a few polishing tips and some diamond engravers that use thicker shanks, these will not fit in this tool. So it looses a star for that, but then again all quick change hand-pieces are only set for one diameter.

Consider if you are drilling, then you need mounted drills on 2.35 shanks and 2.35 would be the largest size you could drill.

I believe that there are other collets available (as per the parts list), but I haven yet found a supplier. If so, I could then have two.

To the hand-piece itself, great quality and great price. You can pay a "LOT" of money for these from the jewellery suppliers in Birmingham. Instructions are in Italian, but if you cant figure out a two position lever then you should not be let loose with a power tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Backup those files. do it now., 12 Dec. 2013

It's amazing just how many people still don’t back up their files. Thousands of photos, the kids, holidays, loves ones who have passed away. Your entire life, all sitting on your hard drive. With a precarious cup of coffee nearby and the cat climbing all over you wanting feeding. You get the picture.

Back up your files people, it’s not hard. Download a copy of sea tools, plug in this baby and make a full clone of all your machines and laptops. It’s really simple. And it’s not expensive.

Don’t leave it plugged in either, (in the same precarious place as your pc) put it back in the box and keep it safe well away from your computers, even give it to a neighbour. Then if the worst happens, fire, flood, or burglary, all your precious memories are safe and can be restored in a few hours.

You know it makes sense ….. but have you done it?

Hit buy and get on with it.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's just an umbrella !, 3 Jun. 2012
It may have the Paul smith designer stripes, but this is just a very small detail. it to all intents and purposes a black, fold up umbrella. So why pay all the extra just for a stripe around the edge?

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap rubish ! Dont bother, 5 Sept. 2010
I bought a set of these some time ago. A chef wouldn't be seen dead using these. They look nice in the box, but that's about it. The handles are cheap flimsy plastic. The blades are simply stamped out of cheap stainless steel. They quickly go blunt and are hard to sharpen, due to the cheap and poor quality steel.

O.k. So you might argue the low price. But it's false economy. Spend a few quid, Buy something decent. Sabatier "lion", or the "original" award winning kitchen Devils. But please don't waste your money on these.

trust me, I'm a bit of a knife geek.

3.0 out of 5 stars actually a "Sweex" unit but twice the price., 13 April 2010
A I've said in the title. look for the "Sweex" internal card reader. it is the "Exact" same unit, but half the price of the Akasa one.

either way both great items simple to install and work a treat. But dont get ripped of by buying the branded ones.
