Wacom Mouse for Intuos
Wacom Mouse for Intuos
Price: £47.38

1.0 out of 5 stars A useless piece of junk, 26 Mar. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Wacom Mouse for Intuos (Accessory)
After a few months, this mouse started intermittently interpreting single-clicks as double-clicks. This makes it completely useless.

I contacted Wacom within the warranty period, they put me through a long and time-consuming email exchange, and lots of pointless diagnostic tests. They initially refused to simply believe me that it was a hardware fault, even though it obviously was. Eventually, they reluctantly agreed to send me a replacement.

Based on the reviews here, I fully expect the replacement to develop exactly the same fault.

4.0 out of 5 stars Case OK, but description misleading, 16 July 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The case seems fine, but the listing is rather misleading. The main description says "ABS Hard Shell Cabin Case Designed To Fit Ryanair Cage (55x40x20cm) or EasyJet (50x40x20cm) Onboard Hand Luggage 2 or 4 Wheels".

But as of July 2016, the EasyJet limit is in fact 56 x 45 x 25cm as stated on their website. If it was 50 x 40 x 20cm, then most of the cases available in this listing would NOT fit as they are longer than 50cm (whereas in fact they do fit).

Furthermore, the description makes it sound like the cases are all the same brand and design, just different colours and patterns on the outside. In fact, they appear to be completely different brands and designs, and slightly different sizes too.

For example, the case I ordered turned out to be a make called "Gabol" and a model called "Kyoto", which isn't mentioned anywhere in the listing.

This means most of the reviews are not really relevant, because they are written for a different case to the one you're buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome monitors, everything I wanted in a pair of miniature powered speakers, 26 July 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These monitors are a revelation!

Everything I wanted in a miniature monitor is basically provided: sounds pop out of the speakers in a three-dimensional way, there is crisp and clean treble, clear and realistic mid-range, and a very reasonable amount of bass for the size. Stereo imaging is good, and I have not found them at all fatiguing to listen to.

As with most other ported designs, in an untreated room at close proximity to walls, I find it's best to roll off the bass with one of the "Low Cutoff" settings at the back (80 Hz or 100 Hz). But even at 80 Hz, there is still an adequate amount of bass produced for most scenarios, and what is there sounds tight and controlled.

Sometimes I've heard details on these monitors that I never noticed before when listening to the same music on larger, much more expensive monitors. I suspect that's partly due simply to the size of the cabinets - I suspect smaller speakers are going to exhibit less masking of mid-range elements by bass sounds; or maybe it's due to a higher crossover frequency. I'm not sure. But it's also a testament to how good these monitors are. Given the price, they are amazing.

I have the monitors placed high up, so they're slightly above head level, tilted downwards so they're pointing directly at my head in normal sitting position. I find this sounds much better than putting them low down at desk level and tilting them upwards, presumably because there are less reflections off the desk itself.

I did this by placing a pair of Pixel T50 speaker stands (50cm tall, costing £50) on my desk, just behind my displays - the stands are the perfect height to hold the monitors so their front faces are just above my displays. I then used a pair of foam isolation pads to rest the monitors on and tilt them downwards at the right angle. For this I used a pair of Adam Hall PAD ECO Series absorber plates, which are the right width for these monitors.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay but clamps your head a bit tight, and the mic's mute control is clumsy, 26 July 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These headphones are OK, but I personally don't like headphones that "head clamp" i.e. grip your head too tightly. These headphones clamp my head with slightly too much pressure for comfort.

Normally, headphones can be made less head-clampy by finding the metal band across the top and bending it slightly outwards. However, these headphones feel like they're plastic all the way across the top, which is not so malleable - so there is rather a fixed level of head-clampiness, which for me is a bit too much.

The method of muting the mic also isn't ideal - you have to swivel the entire mic stalk all the way up/down to mute/un-mute. There is no tactile or audio feedback to tell you when it's passed the cut-off point from un-muted to muted.

If you're on a conference call and want to go on mute whenever you're not talking, and then un-mute whenever you want to say something, this mechanism is a bit clumsy - and it lacks any definite reassurance that you really are on mute when you think you are.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great isolation pads, except for poorly stuck on logos, 26 July 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great isolation pads, at 170 mm wide they are perfect for small monitors.

The reason I am giving these 4 stars and not 5 is because the "ah" logo plates on the front fall off really easily and take a small chunk of foam with them - so you're left with a slight blemish / indentation on the front of each pad, right where the logo should be.

1.0 out of 5 stars No volume control!!!, 25 Jun. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This phone has no volume control. Instead there is a volume "switch" with only two settings: LOW and HIGH. For me that's totally unacceptable. Given the huge variation in volumes you get for different callers in a typical conference call or remote working session, you absolutely need a continuously variable volume control. Not having one is fine for a landline you use only occasionally, but this phone has a headset and is advertised as a "Call Center Telephone" - so is clearly intended for use over long periods. If any call centre failed to give its workers a functional volume control they would be taken out and shot under health and safety regulations. I don't know what the rest of the phone is like because I sent it back as soon as I realized it has no volume control.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ear pads don't rotate enough to make full contact with ears, 16 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Unfortunately, while the top of each ear pad makes full contact with the tops of my ears, the bottom of each ear pad doesn't make proper contact with the lower parts of my ears. The ear pads do rotate slightly - but just not enough. This compromises the sound and comfort unnecessarily.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not much springiness / strength in the flexible metal strip, 17 Aug. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The flexible metal strip that allows the purse to pop open had hardly any springiness / strength to it, so coins kept falling out. Ended up sending mine back.
