I bought this product and have nothing but problems with it.
First major bug/hardware problem: Firstly the USB port, if you use it to watch a movie from, it will work for a few minutes and then the whole device will freeze. You have to turn the power off and on again. This is really annoying, because otherwise you have to unplug the whole device and connect it to your computer to copy a file over.
Second major bug: The advertising states that you can put your whole music collection on it, well not true, there is a bug in the software that if you have more than 360 folders in the music folder, (lets say albums), you will only be able to find 360. So If you copy 500 albums over, you will still only be able to play 360 with it on the television, even though you can see all 500 albums when looking at the device with windows explorer.
Third bug/hardware problem: It's started hanging just playing films from the main hard drive now.
Add to that that it's not very user friendly, I have reported all the problems to Lacie, they are known problems, so all Lacie multimedia drives have the same major bugs....they still have no idea if and when they can fix these problems....after 2 months, I'm giving up and sending the product back. I'd prefer to buy a product from a company that actually tests their products before selling them to the public.
