4.0 out of 5 stars great easy read(may contain spoilers), 4 Oct. 2011
This review is from: The End Specialist (Paperback)
Straight away I was hooked onto this book from the first few pages and was taken back to my teenage years
of reading W.F.Nolan, Ray Bradbury and Robert Heinlein.
The novel is a very easy read and I read this in one sitting the only other that I have done this with lately is k-pax.
Like all good science fiction I think the topics in the novel mirror present day such as mankind's increasing age,
environment etc.
I also never got bored with this book as obviously the book is about a cure for aging the story takes place over various decades in
the 21st century to its dramatic climax.
I am really hoping for a second novel as to explain how mankind dealt with the dramatic events at the end of the novel.
The author Drew Magary has a bright future ahead of him and am looking forward to reading more of his works

1.0 out of 5 stars very poor, 17 Aug. 2008
I watched about 20 minutes of this film and then decided to go to my kitchen and chaw out my eyes with a rusty fork which proved a lot more entertaining than the movie!!

5.0 out of 5 stars EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST, 26 July 2004
This review is from: Glean (Audio CD)
when a band releases an album which i have played and played and played the follow up is usually a cautious affair, but
to my surpise and relief echobrain have achieved monumentous results.
Like most people i was turned onto them by the newsted connection but all that is now a distant memory as adam donkin
(dylans brother) has taken over bass duties.
The songs and production have a rawer feel but at the same time
a beauty encompasses the songs which in my eyes have not been achieved since The beatles or Led zep.
Why on earth Echobrain are not the biggest band in the universe i dont know, but this is indeed a masterpiece just waiting to be found.

5.0 out of 5 stars refreshing post metallica bluesy comedown, 7 Mar. 2002
This review is from: Echobrain (Audio CD)
After admiring newsteds playing with his former outfit the big 'M' i awaited with bated breath for this cd, i really wanted to hear the mega heavy stuff which newsted promised but this comes a nice surprise with its blues '60's' and post grunge influences.
but that former band need not now be mentioned
as echobrain are a fine outfit who stand on there own with a great unique sound, this is a great chill out cd for the evenings home with your headphones strapped on and where you can just escape from the rest of the rush hour and listen to dylan donkin's textured soulful vocal's.
The only downside to echobrain is that i cant imagine this is as commercially viable as newsted's previous outfit but an excellent debut none the less.
enough reading buy this nooooowwwwwwww!!!!
