Unlike other reviewers I managed to listen to my copy of 'Golden age...' more than once.
After engaging in the albums splendour I begun to realise how much Manson has grown up. Even though some of the albums songs have ridiculous titles, for example 'Doll-Dagga Buzz Buzz Ziggety Zag' (which is about commercialisation killing the music industry) Manson seems to have adopted a stance similar to the Antichrist character he once possessed.
Anyway, the album is full of brilliant riffs, rip-roaring vocals and pulsating drumbeats. Definitely worth buying if you are a fan of any of Manson's previous work.
The only down side to the album is the noticeable absence of bassist Twiggy. He will be sorely missed, as the new guy 'Tim Skold' is nowhere near as outstanding.
To conclude, this album gives me satisfactory content to know that Manson hasn't sold out and that they are still producing cutting edge music. Definitely worth the purchase. 5 Stars

'Love Metal' is the first 'HIM' album I have in my C.D collection and I must admit I am sad to say it.
On hearing this album I can understand why they are such a highly recommended band.
The album gushes sweet rock music that will bring you to a state of doing nothing but standing next to your C.D player listening and watching the seconds pass as you devour each and every digitally encoded spec of sound.
The album hosts ten amazing anthems that deserve every rock fans respect and admiration.
I can honestly say that there is not a single 'filler' tack on this album and if you enjoy any form of rock music you will be thrilled with this purchase.
We are looking at a possible 'Album Of The Year'.
Essential

5.0 out of 5 stars Brutal, 6 May 2003
I have been listening to hard/noise/sludge/grind/emo- core for about two years now and this is my favourite album. Boasting seven tracks of sheer talent and brutality this is an absolute essential for anybody remotely interested in any of the genres listed above.
From the sludge filled bass fury of 'Consider Us Dead' to the instrumental acoustics of 'Puparia', this album is "one of those albums" that makes you proud to own a C.D player.
Genius - Five Stars!

1. Expectation - I was expecting an album that would be souly made for American kids who thought life was tough because they couldn't hand their homework in on time and "need" an escape!
I ordered it because I wanted to listen to this band because I thoroughly enjoy music by 'Static-X' and wanted to hear Tripp's side project.
2. After seeing the 'Dead In Hollywood' Video - I saw this while I was waiting for the CD to be delivered and thought that my original expectations were going to prove to be true. The song (on one listen) sounded awful, terrible lyrics, jagged vocals and an overall disappointing video.
3. First Listen of the Album - Surprised. It almost grew on me instantly. Although the songs sounded like they were tailor-made for the struggling suburban American teen I found the lyrics amusing and the music raw and somewhat magical.
4. Internal Verification - After having the album for four or five days it became a regular in my CD player and I haven’t looked back. Although not half as good as Eighties Matchbox Disaster 'Beyond The Valley....' is definitely worth picking up if you are into modern rock'n'roll with gore ridden lyrics!
Five Stars

I am not a regular Madonna music buyer but after thoroughly enjoying her past two single releases I decided to give this album a try, was I impressed.... Oh Yes!
This album is a tremendous collaboration of Madonna's styles and fashion patterns over the last fifteen years collected and manifested into eleven new and exciting tracks, each one with its own sleek new sound.
This album is definitely worth buying if you are a fan of any of her previous work, from the early eighties to her latest release 'American Life'.
The album complements itself with a full range of styles, from acoustic to country to dance/funk.
Well worth a purchase. Check it out, Five Stars

5.0 out of 5 stars Subversive, 11 April 2003
This review is from: Burn Piano Island, Burn (Audio CD)
The most mind-bending and psychopathic collection of recordings I have ever heard.
This album is absolutely crazy!!!
To try and make some sort of sense of this band I can only describe them in the following equation:
Dillinger Escape Plan 'Irony Is a Dead Scene' + Mudvayne 'L.D 50' + The Used 'The Used' X Duke Ellington ‘Sophisticated Lady’ = Blood Brothers - Burn Piano Island Burn.
Each of these demented tracks is unique in their own way, yet impossible to define one separately.
Get this album if; 1) You are in desperate search of something new 2) You love noisecore/emocore/hardcore 3) You are stressed and you want to be relieved 4) You are sick of boring music 5) You want to invest in your CD collection wisely.
This album is definitely worth the money, and a superb achievement for the band and Ross Robinson.
Amazing example of creativity - 5 Stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock at its Greatest Splender, 11 April 2003
This review is from: Faceless (Audio CD)
The latest in the trio instalment is an essential for any metal/nu-metal/rock fan.
Faceless is undoubtedly Godsmack's greatest album yet.
Godsmack display talent on so many levels in 'Faceless' it is untrue; spectacular riffs, crunching vocals and a dominant drum beat.
This album is truly a breath of fresh air amongst the money grabbing collaborative of bands that are clogging the rock genre at the moment and I find that enlightening.
If you are new to the band or even the genre this album is definitely worth picking up as it is tailor made for people with varied tastes looking for something new.
The band themselves sound like a re-arranged Metallica with jolts of Pantera, Slayer and even Cold.
Definitely worth the purchase, you wont be disappointment – 5 Stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars Urban Uproar, 7 Feb. 2003
Due to the overwellming demand in 'urban' cultural music in the last five years there have been many compilation albums churned out and passed down through second rate DJ's and MC's.
Urban Explosion is a breath of fresh air from the collaborative meltdown of junk that has accumilated over the years. Kicking off with the 'radio-friendly' jam 'Work It' by Missy Elliot and working its way through pounding household name antthems such as J-Lo's 'Jenny from the block' and Sean Paul's 'Ever Blazing'.
The second CD presents a much less comercialised vibe, portions of Busta Rhymes and Panjabi MC are sertainly enough to satisfy.
A good effort overall and my first compliation purchase of 2003, Lets hope this one is something to go by.

Raissa - beleiver is a beautiful record. A majical enchanting juxtapositon to the heart.
Such a triumphant voice, she deserves to be huge.
Although calm there is a diaphomous like approach to her songs which makes the album even better.
Everyone should own this. Sensational
