The title Easy VHS to DVD is very, very misleading
The time taken to capture the video is "real time"... no problem there... very easy.
But then if you want to edit the file and add chapter markers you need to allow about 2 hours to transfer a 1 hour video capture to iMovie, then you need to do the job (which depends on how quickly you pick up using the software, it's fairly simple).
You need to edit the file in iDVD to make it look "professional" with menus and chapters, etc. That takes time, too.
Then when using iDVD to produce your disc, allow about 3 1/2 hours to burn a 2 hour dvd.
