The Mighty Adventure of Lemington Soot
The Mighty Adventure of Lemington Soot

Edition: Paperback
Price: £14.99

5.0 out of 5 stars If Keith Moon was to write a children's book this would be it!, 21 Aug. 2016
Where do I begin? Very entertaining read, eloquently written with some very well imagined characters. Clearly the author is bonkers and one wonders whom untied the straps to his straight jacket to put pen to paper.... a camp fox in a shower cap, an evil fromage called the cheeseman, a barking mad albatross a farting cat and a bad tempered Alsatian called Herman Gottleib all appear along the way. It made me laugh out loud!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best product i have used so far..., 19 Feb. 2010
I have used this to help clear up the guttate psoriasis (small red spots) on my legs and lower back. I have applied it first thing in the morning and last thing for the last 4 weeks and have noticed a big improvement. Whist my psoriasis is probably here to stay, this stuff, combined with mild use of tanning booths, has helped me reduced the inflamation and it is now almost invisible.

I also use the Exorex moisturing cream before entering the swimming pool. It seems works as a barrier against the chlorine which has caused irritation to my legs in the past.

Highly recommended, but my only caveat would be to check what kind of Psoriasis you have before buying this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great album, 9 Oct. 2008
This review is from: 100th Window (Audio CD)
Great album - it was not going to live up to Mezzanine but what would? Take this album on its own merits and its a real pleasure to listen to and as long as you are not too hung up on their past glories you will enjoy. Butterlfly caught and Special cases are excellent.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty ghastly, 15 Feb. 2008
This review is from: The Terminal [DVD] (2004) (DVD)
Victor Navorski (Tom Hanks) and his dreadful 'Russian' accent are stuck in an airport terminal because the nasty Americans won't let him enter their country. He cannot of course speak English but makes friends in the terminal and with their help overcomes various situtaions etc. and is of course a thoroughly decent bloke.

As a comedy the funny moments are few and the plot is predictable and pretty thin. I was not sure what i was expecting but for me it is neither a funny film or or a heart warming story. By the end of the film i was hoping that Viktor would be firstly subject to a full body cavity search and then slung into prison.

Humbug.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dreadful, 7 Feb. 2008
This review is from: Children of Men [DVD] [2006] (DVD)
I bought this DVD as i thought it looked like an intelligent science fiction thriller but it is not.It is poorly acted (Michael Caines worst performance since 'On Deadly Ground') and the storyline is wishy washy and achingly liberal.

This is not Science Fiction and if you buy it on this basis I think you will be dissapointed.

Avoid.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh dear, 9 Jun. 2007
This review is from: Broken Flowers [DVD] (DVD)
Art house rubbish. This is a painful film with much of the action centered on Bill Murray sitting on a couch staring at nothing.

There is nothing subtle about the humour here - it is not present.

Students will probably like it and probably those who have their heads stuck somewhere.
