5.0 out of 5 stars In the same category as Born To Run... yep, it's that good!, 10 Oct. 2010

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were firing on all cylinders in 1979. This album really knows how to k.i.s.s. the audience meaning keeping it short and sweet, just nine tracks of killer stuff with no filler in sight! The moment it's over you want to hear it all over again. "Always leave the audience wanting more", as Gene Simmons once said... Start with buying this record, than buy 2009's excellent Live Anthology and you'll became a Tom Petty's fan in no time! In Europe Tom isn't as big as The Boss but he should be... If you like American ROCK this record is a no brainer! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the previous collection!, 1 July 2010
I'd recommend this cd to everyone who had a passing interest in Don Henley's music in the past... maybe you know just a few of his most famous singles (Dirty Laundry, The Boys Of The Summer or The End Of Innocence) but here you get a lot of other songs that are well worth investigating. New York Minute for example is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever listened to, his talents as lyricist go hand in hand with his ability of penning an amazing tune. This compilation has been remastered in 2009 and is much better, sonically speaking, than his 1995 best "Actual Miles"; the content has also been updated with three tunes form his last studio album "Inside Job" replacing one forgettable tune "The Garden Of Allah" that was exclusive to that release. Since I received it I've been playing it non stop! Thanks Don!

5.0 out of 5 stars They promised us a miracle..., 20 July 2009

And now they have delivered it! It's been a long time comin' but them Minds are finally back to their all time best! From the opener Moscow Undergrond with its thudding bass intro (Waterfront anyone?) to the closer, the atmospheric This Is It, this is an album that will reconcile with the band all the fans who lost interest in their music from the '90s onward. Too good to ignore, it's time to put the Minds back where they belong: in our hearts!
