3.0 out of 5 stars Messy, 22 May 2017

Tangled tale that never quite makes sense. Agree with others it needs corrections as many mis-spelled words and changes of tense in a single sentence. Editor might make it into something logical and readable.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, 17 May 2017
Pointless and dull plot and characters, confusing the way narrators kept changing, terribly disappointing ending. Only positive was the 99p price.

Stilted writing. Drunken main character who stays the same throughout. Meaningless plot.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very dull, 14 Aug. 2016

Glad this was free cos everything about it smacked of amateur writing. Characters; lack of plot; kiddy ramblings. Nothing recommends it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Amateur book full of mistakes, 20 Mar. 2016

Bought as it had many reviews on Amazon.com. Full of errors, tense keeps switching from past to present for no reason, and font goes up and down like a yoyo.

2.0 out of 5 stars Chicklit at its most mediocre, 7 Dec. 2015

Stunned when I skimmed to the end to find it was handled by a reputable publisher. The story was pathetic, the characters - if you can even call that - lacklustre andridiculous, and the plot downright daft. Full of stupid misunderstandings that even an idiot would have spotted so just didn't stack up. Hard to believe such nonsense gets a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK but not brilliant, 6 Dec. 2015

I thought the story itself was a good one but could do with a massive effort to speed it up as it just droned on and on at times without really getting anywhere much further than it already was. The characters were fairly one dimensional and without substance. The main character herself was a bit dense - change the locks, you stupid woman. Don'y be such a drama queen - call the police. They're hardly going to be shocked. It's their job. There are some seeing inaccuracies - she was going to work at the library. On a Sunday. One of the characters affected in 2000 had a new partner by 2014 and had managed not just to meet her but to have 2 kids who were both now teenagers..
