4.0 out of 5 stars Great song, bad editing, 26 May 2016

I love this song, but the editing at the end of the song is atrocious. The spontaneous medley is the end of this song. It sounds unfinished, which really disturbs a musician. When playing this on shuffle, it sounds wrong! A truly worshipful song other than that though!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the funniest, 28 Nov. 2013

I have bought this for my hubby from the kids for Christmas. I'm normally a great fan of Matt and hubby and I will laugh out loud to many of the cartoons. The ones in this book however, do not seem to be the pick of the bunch. I've had a look through and some were mildly amusing, but many either didn't seem relevant to being a dad or weren't that funny. Perhaps it is because they are out of context of the news on that day and the other books normally remind you of the news story. I'm quite disappointed really

2.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't engage with it, 1 May 2012
My problem with this book is I never felt I empathised with the characters and then when some of them die (as you would expect in a World War I novel), I didn't really feel I missed them. Perhaps this is because it is a children's book and so one is protected from getting too involved but I just felt you moved from one event to the next and the plot conveniently turned out the way it should, which was ultimately not very believable. I don't think you can really blame it on being a children's book though, as there are many great children's books with sad bits in, which readers of any age would enjoy. It is a shame, as normally I would say I was a Michael Murpurgo fan from my childhood, but this did not meet my expectations.

2.0 out of 5 stars Look smart and comfy to wear but flawed, 26 Sept. 2011

I can echo what others have said about this product. They are a nice trainer (note trainer not walking shoe). I bought them to use as trainers, I have size 9 feet and the 9 fits me fine lengthwise, but they are just too narrow. My feet get cold as they are so restricted. Another major issue for me and the reason behind 2 stars, is that they have very poor grip on a slippery surface. I walk along a footpath to my kid's preschool every day and any hint of a wet surface or slippy leaves and the grip is not up to the job. As it is not mount everest or loose shail, I can still wear them with a bit of caution but I would have thought one of the major requirements in a walking trainer is grip. They will have water damage easily but I'm not overly bothered about looks. If you want them to stay looking in good nick for a while, then a different material would be better. Overall I would not recommend them

4.0 out of 5 stars A different approach to Bible study, 25 Jun. 2010
I enjoyed reading this book not least for the fact that it made me sit down and read an entire gospel in one go, which I probably wouldn't otherwise have done. Mark is not always the first one you might choose either. I am a big Plass fan and I'd say the comments were enjoyable and thought provoking on the whole. There is a little bit of padding, but this is very minimal. I was amazed at how moving I found reading through the last supper, crucifixion bit again. Passages I know so well, but then God can always make you see things with fresh eyes :) A different sort of book and a different sort of Bible study if you fancy a change.

4.0 out of 5 stars On the whole, a good book, 28 Sept. 2008

We used this book on our recent holiday to the Yorkshire Dales with a double buggy. On the whole the book was useful, but we did find the description of the pathways was a little optimistic sometimes and the gate that was "usually unlocked" was very firmly locked when we tried it. I think if you have a very sturdy pushchair that will withstand a lot of abuse, then most of these walks are doable, but we were a little worried about damaging our (fairly sturdy) buggy. Steps may be an option with some pushchairs, but not with ours, so it is best to fully read the description of the walk before deciding whether it is suitable. I think it is quite a good book with a down to earth approach but needs some work in my opinion
