You can go wrong with Sweedish supergroup band! As a big fan of Amanda's ex husband Kristian Mattson aka The Tallest Man On Earth,
I discovered this masterpiece. I was wondering what has happened to his ex wife Amanda? Because she has amazing voice. And I saw that Sweedish TV performance of The Waterboys cover ''The Whole Of The Moon'' and then saw Amason ''Kelly'' also TV performance, and was instantly blown away! After hearing Duvan and Yellow Moon I went to and bought it! My Oh My! Also when I saw that there is a guy from Miike Snow (Pontus Winneberg) I went crazy! And that Fleetwood Mac mood (Tango-Rumours), great songs and arrangements. (You know Sweedes, they know the work). And Amanda's amazing beautiful and hunting vocals over the top! I'm so glad that she finally found her place under the sun! So I got the album (CD version). At first listening I found it sounds great, but I needed a little bit to adapt the whole material. Cause you got songs like Duvan and Kelly but also songs like Elefanten, Blackfish and Algen which I found fantastic after second and third listening. Now I keep
repeating the whole album all over again! There is no bad song on it. But keep in mind that this is a real grower album! If not at first, you will be sucked into it after third listening! I just hope that this is not the grops last effort. That they will continue with what they have started! And I would
also like if they could somehow break a little bit more on the international scene 'cause band like this one diserves it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Fantastic Album!, 3 Jan. 2016

This review is from: IN DREAM (Audio CD)
There is nothing left to say. Editors made another great album. Ten great songs! No Filler! This time they took care over production by themselves and did also a great job! It sounds huge and intimate! As always darker atmosphere is present with beautiful sound layers, melodies and Tom's brilliant voice and lyrics! You'll not be disappointed. Except if you have quit the band after first 2 albums. This one could be (as they say) a sequel to ''In This Light...'', but also it has all other Editors elements. You can easily see the band with their more than 10 years expirience.
Always ready to explore but also always with their own moods and themes. It begins with dark haunting ''No Harm'' and finishes with epic ''Marching Orders''. In between we got everything. Popy ''Ocean Of Night'' and ''Forgivness'', grande epic ''Salvation'', electro dark ''Life Is Fear'' Moody ''The Law'', Bronski Beat meats Eurythmics and Depeche Mode ''Our Love'', 80s'-90s' ''All The Kings, and another moody beauty ''At All Cost''.
2 thumbs up for their special guest Rachel Goswell from Slowdive on vocals (Ocean Of Night, The Law, At All Cost).
Tom's and Rachel's vocals made a perfect match! Enough talking/writing, I highly recommend this album to all Editors fans (Ok, The Back Room fans beware :), and everybody who like great songs, great production, melodies, lyrics and haunting, huge and at the same time intimate
who like

What to say…Kristian did it again! Another Tallest Man masterpiece!
This time upgraded with band on 70% of the album. I read some reviews,
and people are saying (sorry craping) that this before was better. That
this is fake - sell out and so on… So people what's the matter with you?
Anyway what it's all about, it is the same old man with the same great songs, same
great melodies and lyrics. Only this time in some more cinematic arrangement! Artists
needs progress! You need a challenge, something that you didn't done before.
Expand yourself and your sound. You always got first two albums of simplicity.
It's time to move on! Great opening with Fields Of Our Home, and even better
closing with Dark Bird Is Home. When full band enter the song, you'll get shivers
down your spine! Recorded mostly in Sweeden with some additional recording
in Wisconsin (Bon Iver studio). Almost all instruments played by himself.
With addition of Bon Iver's Mike Noyce on backing vocals and some other
musicians. This album is really a grover! The more you play it becomes better and better!
So enough talking! Go get and enjoy your copy of fantastic Dark Bird Is Home!
Let yourself go and you won't regret it! I saw him on last tour and now I can't wait
to see him again. Once again, Kristian, well done!

Fantastic album of the fantastic band! Great voice! Great songs!
It's a shame they didn't make it to the scene! Because you need
a bloody hype to get to the people. Anyway, I'm probably the only
one in my country and sometimes i feel the only one in the world
who have a CD and Vinyl of the album. So if you like 80s (stadium and
intimate) kind of a vibe with indie production, really hunting vocal, atmosphere
and great tunes, don' wait! Go get it today! These guys really deserve it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Album of the year 2012!!!, 4 Feb. 2013

This review is from: Confess [VINYL] (Vinyl)
George Lewis Jr. aka Twin Shadow has proved with his second album ''Confess'' that he is a great singer/songwriter!
This is a great one word it's a great record! All songs are almost equaly good! There is no bad songs on the LP! Five Seconds, Run My Herat, When The Movie's Over, Be Mine Tonight and also the rest of the album is just thrilling! To me, it is the most playable album of 2012, and still is, so, I highly recommend this LP to everyone,
especially to the fans of the '80. music but with energy of 2012, and everyone who loves a good song. Also with mix of Michael Brauer and mastering from the old veteran of mastering Bob Ludwig you can't go wrong! It sounds really spectacular!
So I've got a CD and Vinyl. The sound is way better on CD than the LP. But the cover art is way better on Vinyl. So if you want the sound, go for a CD. If you don't mind a little less quality, and if you are a fan of a Vinyl, you should buy it, 'cause you also get a mp3-High quality coupon with it! So you can have both. But what matter the most, whatever format you choose to buy is that you will get a great music! Great songs! And that's the most important! So enjoy it!
