5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent and easy read, 6 July 2012

This is an excellently written book which, although aimed at secondary English teachers, also offers a wealth of great ideas for all teachers at any stage. Much of it is common sense but it's always good to be reminded about techniques you already know of. There are also lots of new ways of presenting information; I particularly liked the section on different ways to present Learning Objectives - I will definitely be trying some of them out!

3.0 out of 5 stars A lovely little book of poems, 23 July 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A great little book with poems about all sorts of things, often presented in a humorous way. I thought it might be more philosophical than it actually is , giving kids something to think about; the questions are not really that big, as stated in the title.

This review is from: Jumpstart! Science (Paperback)
This is a fab little book with lots of generic ideas that fit well into many science lessons and get children to think more deeply about science and ask more scientific questions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous, 23 Jan. 2009

An excellent book with a reasonable amount of poems in each section. Many are very well known, but there are also quite a lot that I had not heard before. An fab book for anyone who loves poetry, but particularly good for primary school teachers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 23 Jan. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
From the title I was expecting something really creative and exciting but was really disappointed. It is just a book of very short stories, most of which are available for free elsewhere, and are not interactive. It does not suggest any follow-up activities so unless you want a 2 minute assembly I wouldn't recommend this book. It certainly doesn't live up to its title.
