4.0 out of 5 stars Lloyd's On Fire, 3 Aug. 2004
This review is from: The Hunger For More (Audio CD)
'The Hunger For More' Lloyd Banks debut solo album falls just short of the hype and the billing given to it before its release. Don't mistake me though this IS a very good album and worthwhile buy for any G-Unit fan. Stand out tracks are the first 6 on the album plus warrior part 2. so where do you say does it fall down? Well, with exceptional opening tracks it was always going to be hard to keep the standards up throughout the album, and unfortunately they do slip slightly. The second half of the album becomes repetitive with little variation and and some characterless tracks, inparticularily Karma. This complaint is the only blotch on an otherwise excellent album, granted not as excellent as Beg For Mercy or Get Rich or Die Tryig. If you enjoyed either of those albums or are a G-Unit fan this is still a must buy album!
Watchout for Young Bucks debut album Straight Outta Ca$hmore dropping in Aug/Sept time

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Linkin Yet, 16 May 2004
First i would like to say i loved the first 2 linkin releases, they spent monthz in my cd player! i had spend ages waiting for this album to drop, and when it did it was nothing short of my high expectations.with every play the album gets better and better. with this release linkin seem to manage to evoke more emotion from the listener, easier to run and numb esspecially. there are no bad tracks on the album but if i had to nominate a worse it would have to be session.the sampling is great but you would have to feal anyone could do this on their computer at home. faint stands out as the best track on the album closely followed by dont stay. the only complaint would be its length, far too short, but what is here is rock/hip-hop magic

5.0 out of 5 stars Oakey Back To His Best, 26 April 2004
Having listened to oakenfolds mixes for many years, and as an avid fan ofhis sets on the essential mix i believed oakeys style was becoming stale.his sets were losing there euphoria and sheer ibiza rhythms. i have neverbeen a great fan of his single releases, i never believed this was hisstyle, and as recently he has been releasing albums (bunkka andtranceportal) i was excited when i heard he was going to play the greatwall. these live shows is where i believe he excells himself. this is agreat investment for any trance fan as oakey seems to have upped his gameagain with great mixing and euphoric beats

4.0 out of 5 stars Too Much Em, 24 April 2004
This review is from: D12 World (Audio CD)
I believe this is a very good release by Em and his crew, well worthbuying, however there is too much eminem or the album. The record labelseems to be using eminem simply to sell records. The artist of the albumshould be more Eminem feat. D-12 as the majority is em. However the beatsare as solid as ever, and a true street feeling is created, back to goodold more hardcore stlye D-12
