Winnie The Pooh - The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh [DVD]
Winnie The Pooh - The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh [DVD]
Dvd ~ Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Price: £5.98

5.0 out of 5 stars The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, 5 April 2015
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is really 3 stories in one, which is really nice. Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree (1966), Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day (1968), and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too (1974).

Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree (1966) is about Pooh running out of honey & first trying to disguise himself as a little black raincloud to steal some honey from the bees. When that doesn't work he ends up at Rabbit's place & ends up eating too much & gets stuck in the door with some very funny consequences.

Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day (1968), it's a very windy day & Pooh who misunderstands Gopher's warning goes across the Hundred Acre Wood to wish everyone a happy Winds-day. While a lot more happens in this story wishing someone a happy Winds-day is just so amusing I don't feel the need to explain this story anymore haha.

Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too (1974) – Rabbit, Pooh and Piglet formulates a plan to abandon Tigger in the woods, and find him the next day so hopefully Tigger will stop bouncing on his friends unexpectedly. Later on in the story Tigger gets stuck up a tree & promises never to bounce again if he can get down. At that moment, the narrator chimes in for help. Tigger begs him to "narrate" him down from the tree, and he tilts the book sideways, allowing Tigger to step onto the text of the page.

Happy, Tigger attempts to bounce but Rabbit stops him reminding Tigger of the promise he made. Devastated, Tigger realizes he cannot bounce anymore and slowly walks away and Rabbit feels better that there will be peace, but everyone else does not and felt sad to see Tigger depressed and remind Rabbit of the joy Tigger brought when he was bouncing. Then Rabbit shows sympathy for Tigger and takes back the promise they had agreed on; he is then given a friendly tackle by an overly-excited Tigger. Tigger invites everyone to bounce with him and even teaches Rabbit how to do it. For the first time, Rabbit is happy to be bouncing, as is everyone else as Tigger sings his signature song.

As for the extras, you do get a good few on this DVD including:

A Day For Eeyore
The Winnie the Pooh Art Gallery
The Story Behind The Masterpiece
The Winnie the Pooh Theme Song
Pooh's Shadow
The 100 Acre Wood Challenge
Pooh's Pop-up Fun Facts
Heffalumps and Woozles

The Simpsons: Complete Season 1 [DVD]
The Simpsons: Complete Season 1 [DVD]
Dvd ~ Dan Castellaneta
Price: £7.99

5.0 out of 5 stars The Simpsons – series 1, 5 April 2015
Sometimes it's nice to go all the way back to the start with a TV series and The Simpsons is no exception. In the very first episode (which is a Christmas special) we see how The Simpsons first got Santa's Little Helper. While in episode 2 we hear Bart say “Eat my shorts” for the very first time, setting up the catchphrase that would continue to run over the next few seasons.

Like all shows things change over time and when we first see Smithers in episode 3 he is actually portrayed as black, before he is changed to Yellow for next following episode.

Episodes 4 and 5 are also more setup episodes of introducing more of the characters that we have all come to love, we meet Dr. Marvin Monroe, The Itchy & Scratchy Show, plus Lou and Eddie, but as with Smithers, Lou is the wrong colour as he is shown as yellow instead of African-American in later episodes.

Episode 6 is a little sad as we start to learn about Lisa's depression and how the saxophone helps her with this, also in this episode we first meet Bleeding Gums Murphy who ends up being Lisa's saxophone playing idol.

In episode 8 they cram in a bunch of new characters for the first time that become part of the main cast including: Sideshow Bob, Reverend Timothy Lovejoy, Krusty the Clown, Jimbo Jones, Kearney Zzyzwicz, Dolph Starbeam, Ms. Albright, and Apu Nahasapeemapetilon.

In episode 11 we welcome Agnes Skinner and episode 12 we say hello to Kent Brockman for the first time.

The season DVD set ends with episode 13, titled “Some Enchanted Evening” which should of been the first ever episode of The Simpsons, but was moved to the last due to the very bad animation work and the fact they had to re-animate 70% of the episode.

Overall its nice to go back to the beginning to see how they brought each of the characters into the show and what they was like before the show developed and grew to such a massive sensation.

It's nice to see Amazon have changed the title of this item, as they are not "strong" by any means.

What you are in-fact buying is a 3 pack of thick cotton balls / rolls. While they are perfect for what i needed them for, just making a small gift look nice, they are not strong. So i would not use them for parcels / boxes / newspapers or anything like that.

Each cotton balls / rolls is around 60M long, but this is just approx, and some of mine were shorter & longer than the 60M.

Malcolm in the Middle: The Complete Second Season [DVD]
Dvd ~ Frankie Muniz
Price: £17.00

5.0 out of 5 stars Malcolm - Season 2!, 8 Mar. 2015
Season 2 of Malcolm In The Middle has a total of 25 episodes, well 24 plus 1 Flashback episode. It's also the season we see Caroline Miller (Malcolm's "overly earnest" teacher) leave. It's a shame a I really liked & enjoyed her character.

But on the plus side this season we also have the award winning Bowling Sliding Doors-style episode. While it can be a little bit confusing at first, stick with it. I really enjoyed watching how Lois & Hal both treat the boys when the other one isn't around.

It's a shame this DVD has no subtitles & the picture quality is not "amazing", but it's watchable & those 2 small problems didn't take away my enjoyment of the show!

We really did enjoy Midnight Memories, the 3rd album from One Direction. Right from the start you can tell how much the lads have come on from both the 1st album, Up All Night, and the 2nd, Take Me Home.

The band have released 4 songs from this album including Best Song Ever, Story of My Life, Midnight Memories, & You & I. The video for You & I also won at the 2015 Brit Awards. So yep, all in all this is a really good album & we still listen to it now.

Sometimes I get a little bit bored of normal crisps, and that's the good thing about Amazon, they have loads of different ones & if you are lucky, can pick-up a real bargain.

What you are buying here is 1 case of Lorenz Crunchips Flat Red Chilli 175G, 16 large packets in total. I'm not really sure why they call them "Red Chilli", as it tastes like normal Walkers chilli, but are a fraction of the price of Walkers which is really good.

As for the best before date, well i can't really say. I bought mine from "Amazon Grocery Warehouse Deals" with a 1 month date, hence the cheap price i paid. I would buy them again, while not at full price, i would pay a cheaper price for them again as they are very nice.

The Emperor's New Groove [DVD] [2001]
Dvd ~ David Spade
Price: £4.30

5.0 out of 5 stars The Emperor's New Groove, 5 Mar. 2015
I have never seen The Emperor's New Groove before, but I watched Chicken Little yesterday and loved that, so decided to watch The Emperor's New Groove today. I have to be honest, I felt it wasn't as good as I had hoped it was going to be from reading the description on the back on the DVD case.

Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying it was bad, it is still a great film and deserves the 5 stars I have given it, I was just expecting more music.

I think the main problem was that maybe I was expecting it to have more musical numbers in it with a title of Emperors New Groove and with it kicking off with such a big musical based number as well, plus after watching Chicken Little yesterday which had some great song parts in it. However even with the lack of musical segments I did enjoy it, some parts I found very funny. I don't want to give too much away, but when Emperor Kuzco (when he is in donkey form) and Pacha are in the cafe pretending they are husband and wife, well that part had me in stitches.

So overall, while It was not really what I was expecting it to be I did enjoy it & will be watching it again in the future.
