5.0 out of 5 stars Nickelback are back!, 17 Jun. 2017

This review is from: Feed The Machine (Audio CD)
A real return to form, after the disappointment of No Fixed Address. The guitar riffs, punchy vocals and great production are back. In a similar vein to Dark Horse and Here and Now, and with every listen growing to be one of their best albums.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality all round, happily recommend., 23 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great quality jacket, perfect fit as per size guide. Leather is of high standard and jacket is well made, comparable with others twice the price. It is well lined with several internal pockets. As stated on other reviews, sleeves slightly longer which suits my body shape unlike other jackets I have purchased. Very happy all round, quick delivery and good service. Would recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars No Fixed Address? No idea!, 17 Nov. 2014
This review is from: No Fixed Address (Audio CD)
Pre-ordered this album as I have always been a fan of Nickelback's heavy but melodic brand of rock, unfortunately this is not the nickelback that I know and like.
Like Daughtry, they seem to have forgotten their original fan base and gone for a more pop/commercial sound. 'experimental' seems to be the new buzzword, I just call it weak.
The first two tracks, gave me hope, even with softer production, I could see traces of dark horse, but as the album drifted into banality and weak innuendo, I lost hope. At one point, I thought I was listening to Maroon 5 on a bad day! (Did they have a good day?)
It appears that when Chad had his ears and nose done, his balls may have been tampered with too! Order cancelled, I'll wait until you realise you used to rock!

2.0 out of 5 stars Change too far!, 23 Nov. 2013
Initially pre-ordered this item, as I have always loved Daughtry's ability to craft great rock songs, sometimes with a slightly country vibe. Unfortunately, after hearing this album several times before it was released, I realised he had gone in a completely different musical direction, leaving what I loved about his music far behind. I am sure he will still be massively popular, but this just sounds like a lot of the junk I hear on commercial radio, bland, and uninspiring. Order cancelled and I eagerly await a return to what I believed made him unique.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, 9 Oct. 2011
This review is from: Up from the Ashes (Audio CD)
After the classic 80's vibe of the first album, this one has a heavier tone throughout, but still retains the swagger and great choruses. Imagine Guns and Roses meeting Avenged Sevenfold! A song of note is track 4 - throwing it all away, a powerful song that shows just how good James Hart's voice is. All in all a great rock album, that deserves to be in any rock fan's collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY IT!!, 28 Mar. 2011
Pre-ordered this special edition, and upon receiving it,has not left my stereo! Always admired Within Temptation for evolving their sound, whilst still retaining their identity. This album does that yet again, very strong songs without any filler tracks. An album that has songs that could all be singles! Big choruses with lots of light and shade, and Sharon's emotive voice is on top form. Well worth buying, and the Special Edition with DVD is worthy of the extra expense, as it contains some great bonus videos.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss this!!, 19 Mar. 2008
A truly magnificent album, found totally by mistake! The vocals are very reminiscent of Chris Cornell at his best. Rocks all the way through, not one track needs to be skipped. Thoroughly recommended, best album i've bought in ages.
