Tales of Unease (Tales of Mystery & The Supernatural)
Tales of Unease (Tales of Mystery & The Supernatural)
by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Edition: Paperback
Price: £2.99

3.0 out of 5 stars You may want to think again!, 20 Aug. 2011
If you want a Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's collected works book, the definitive book would be The Conan Doyle Stories. The Ring and the Camp. Pirates and Bluewater. Terror and Mystery. Twilight and the Unseen. Adventure and Medical Life. Tales of Long Ago.. It contains all the stories here and many MANY more running on approximately 1200 pages. While this is a short and deliberate selection (perceived as best) of tales, which some may find useful rather than a heavy volume, I'd say go for the big one.

Dinosaurs (Pocket Encyclopedia)
Dinosaurs (Pocket Encyclopedia)
by Paul Barrett
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Good reference, 16 Aug. 2011
I have bought 2 books on Dinosaurs, one is this and the other is Dinosaur Factfile. They complement each other wonderfully as this works as a Dinosaur encyclopedia, the other sets the background for every period in history with great introductions to the creatures and the environment of each period.
This book contains great illustrations and lengthy descriptions for many well known and obscure dinosaurs.

The Conan Doyle Stories. The Ring and the Camp. Pirates and Bluewater. Terror and Mystery. Twilight and the Unseen. Adventure and Medical Life. Tales of Long Ago.

Dinosaur Factfile
Dinosaur Factfile
by David Burnie
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Concise, 11 Aug. 2011
This review is from: Dinosaur Factfile (Paperback)
It doesn't work as an dinosaur encyclopedia, but a concise presentation of periods from the birth of life to the rise of the mammals. Presented chronologically, it gradually explores the beginnings of life to the dinosaur times where different dinosaur families are described and then the spotlight creatures of each family. Different periods of history are described with descriptions of the species specific to that period.
Very impressive illustrations and photographs in glossy pages and semi-hard cover format. A perfect present for a dino lover!

5.0 out of 5 stars Earth Simplified, 5 Aug. 2011
It's written so concisely and simply that anyone, I mean 'anyone' can understand what happened from the assumed beginning of Time. Of course it isn't the greatest reference book on earth but an charming read that gives just the right amount of information that could be safely stored in our brains.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect addition, 23 May 2011
This review is from: Tintin and Co. (Hardcover)
This book is the perfect supplement to the book series. It also is the best companion to 'Tintin: The Complete Companion' also by Farr, being much oriented on the character development than storylines. Larger and more colorful illustrations make this one great fun ride with the characters you have grown so fond with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!, 19 May 2011
This book is in English, not in French as the product description says. A great read for all Tintin fans who would love to know how each story came into being and all the work Herge put in to researching.

Gul Men's Analogue Watch-GUL126

4.0 out of 5 stars Elegant and Fashion device, 20 April 2011
The watch is simply elegant and heavy. It is quite the show piece than an actual time reader. The wrist strap is quite broad so will look very much like a bracelet and will feel heavy on a skinny arm. The luminescence on the hands didn't glow a lot, but of course they must require light to be absorbed first. The package comes with a watch-holder that looks sassy on your table. The bottom line is, this is for more young and fashion oriented individuals and less for professionals or everyday chore people. If you replace the fancy strap it will look quite professional but of course the watch is intended as sports wear.
