A compulsive read which I believe to be true., 23 Nov. 2007
This book ought to be read by all who are about to enter hospital. It is compulsive reading and to all the doubters I would say wait until it happens to you. My husband became paraplegic due to the inappropriate removal of an epidural catheter. His Intensive Care notes disappeared from the face of this earth. The doctor left the country - a family bereavement. My husband developed pressure sores and MRSA and was confined to bed and totally isolated. I consider this book to be a true reflection of what happened and I applaud Amanda Steane for bringing this to the public's attention. I only wish I had her courage.
