3.0 out of 5 stars lost in music, 6 Oct. 2009
This is one of those books that if you read a page & someone asks "what just happened on that page" you would answer "dunno.
Strangely enjoyable the way an afternoon in the boozer with an interesting brother of a good mate can be.
I learned almost nothing about the Fall or Mark E Smith from this book; which is probably how he wanted it.
Stupid title too; Renegade.. sounds like a Bon Jovi biog, still, never mind.
Part of the fun of being a fall fan is buying any old nonsense that Smith executes.
Here's another installment.
As I said, strangely enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars PBL to its friends, 20 Sept. 2009
This review is from: Perverted By Language (Audio CD)
PBL; the introduction to the Fall that changed my life.
No wonder, the Great God Pan is on the rampage here!
Less accessible than most Fall albums, it reveals levels decades later.
This is one for keeps, a lifetime of listening pleasure.
What's a computer???

5.0 out of 5 stars Not live, no witches, 20 Sept. 2009
what a let down, there I was, all those years ago expecting a live album from Salem.
It was not to be.
Instead, what I got was one of the fieriest debut's ever recorded.

Chuck it in the pond; if it sinks it's not a witch, if it floats.. burn the witch.
This recording "GUILTY" of being something very special.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Guide for modern living, 20 Sept. 2009
whenever Mrs Divvey is giving me a hard time, i just make sure she sees me reading this book.
Mr Smith approaches managing a pop group the way Robert Mugabe manages his chunk of Africa and they both seem to have some success at their separate ventures.
Rather than a pop group biog, this is in fact a guide for successful living and should be filed in self help.
Or marriage guidance.
