2.0 out of 5 stars A very weak theoretical underpining, 13 Feb. 2010
The approach to interpersonal communication is very flat and it is pleny of individual written exercises. I had the impression that this is a book for a person that has never ever thought abouth interpersonal communication and wants/has to prepare a workshop. For specialists in communication it is not very helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy reading, deep and humble reseach work, 13 Feb. 2010
A fascinating journey to the world of social insects. As an organization and leadership researcher this book is a great example of complexity applied to decision making models.

Interpersonal Skills Training: A Sourcebook of Activities for Trainers
by Philip Burnard

4.0 out of 5 stars A good sample of Experiential Learning exercises, 13 Feb. 2010
I found the book really useful to look for and find exercises when preparing a worskshop on interpersonal communication. The theoretical underpining is clearly Rogerian.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very nice approach, 23 Nov. 2009
I really enjoyed his approach on "why teams do not work well". I like very much his insights about it but the implementation of it doesn't seem as consistent as his approach.
Some other works on "story-telling" of "conversations" can complement what the author is saying.
