5.0 out of 5 stars Great cover of "Wichita Lineman", 28 July 2011
This review is from: Bittersweet Me [CD 2] (Audio CD)
I bought this cd because of the "Wichita Lineman" cover (Glen Campbell) I had seen on youtube. Apparently, it was recorded during a sound check before concert. I'm a big fan of this song in all its versions, and this is one of the best. Have a look at it on youtube (where it is marred by an interview passage) before you order this cd. Needless to say, the other titles are splendid as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Touching, 28 July 2011
When I read about the comment the Irish prime minister made on the catholic church a few days ago, this book came into my mind. I read it a long time ago, and I still vividly recall the horrors of catholic education and the tremendous inner conflict the narrator went through. Of course, that is not all, because at a certain age we all go through our own horrors, being catholic or not. And we all have to find some way out in order not to perish. So, everyone will find a piece of him- or herself in these pages. Highly recoomended.

Thoroughly relaxing music ... and a great female voice not so much singing but reciting the lyrics ... quite haunting ... enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful approach, 23 Nov. 2010
While the subtitle of this book addresses manual therapists, it presents a very useful and interesting approach for yoga teachers and practitioners, too. Speaking from that perspective, I'd say there is no other book with a more detailed and concise guide to yoga practice in the Iyengar tradition. The big bonus, however, are the so-called "basic exercises" that are inspired by yoga positions but are not as demanding. Therefore, they can be introduced in courses with older persons, beginners and people with physical limitations, either leading towards classic asanas or as exercises in their own right. I'm quite impressed with the wealth and practicality of the material offered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hands-on approach, 5 Nov. 2010
Inspite of the relatively bland title, this is a great book. While being a part of the Tara Rokpa process inspired by Akong Rinpoche, it can also be taken by itself. Especially useful are the sections on massage and self-massage. I tried this out with some friends, and it was a wonderful experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic., 2 Oct. 2010
This is not an easy self-help title, and I haven't been able to work through the whole book. What I have read, however, has had a profound impact on my way of thinking. This truly is a classic in the best sense of the word ... and it also has one of the most witty and fitting titles I can think of: Yeah, life is a catastrophe - so let's stop complaining and take up the challenge instead!

I hadn't even heard of Terry Callier when I visited London this summer and was looking for a concert to attend. The concert was fantastic and so is this album - heartwarming, intelligent and of high musical quality. Suited for everyone who likes good, laid-back music with real content.
