This review is from: Ring (Paperback)
I read this after seeing the American film remake, and the book surpassed the film on every level. However, the storyline in the book only bears a slight resemblence to the film; the storyline in the book is much more coherant, and unlike when you see the film, there won't be huge plot holes for you to worry about. The plight and character of Sadako (the maker of the video) in the book is also much more chilling than the hairy irritating child Samara from the film. I literally couldn't put this book down, it's a real page turner- I'm off to read the sequel!
