1.0 out of 5 stars shockingly bad for the money, 18 Nov. 2013
This review is from: Barbie Dream House (Toy)
We put this up on boxing day and it was so flimsy and such poor quality parts broke the same day!. Absolute rip off for the price. Needless to say it was returned as soon as possible. The kidkraft houses are a much superior quality that could last for years and are much cheaper. Dont be fooled by the barbie name, chances are you will feel a bit hard done by as soon as you open the box!

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work, waste of money, 7 Sept. 2013
I bought quite a few of these for party bags. We followed the instructions to the letter in order to have a race. Every single one just dropped to the floor immediately - no flight whatsoever!. They spun around on the floor but the definition of a helicopter is that it flies! Its like the propellers are too heavy to carry the balloon. I should add that a couple of the fathers of the guests are engineers and they couldn't get them to work either!

Absolute rubbish and a very embarrassed party host. Please don't waste your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous little rug, 14 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This rug is perfect for my little boy's bedroom. Its a beautiful blue colour that will go with any number of colour schemes and is very attractive without being garish like a lot of other childrens rugs. Its a good size and quality too. I'm a very happy customer!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as expected., 27 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'm a huge fan of Melissa and Doug and have purchased a great number of their products. This is just ok really, not as good as I was hoping for. There is no lid which is very annoying and a running theme with a lot of their stuff. Honestly you would think it would be a no brainer to put a lid on an item with lots of small pieces but it seems the penny still hasn't dropped with them yet. We live in hope.

The cake itself is very flat looking, not that impressive to be honest and the decorations aren't brilliant either. It was only played with for a few minutes by my 5 and 2 year old who went promptly back to the other Melissa and Doug cutting food (the fruit and veg is much better).

I wouldn't recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless, inaccurate piece of junk, 27 July 2012
This varies by well over 1 degree when taking a temperature only a minute or two apart in the same ear. The biggest jump was 38.4 to 36.9!!!! absolutely useless, complete waste of money. Parents would be better off guessing what their kids temperatures are. Don't be taken in by the apparent ease/quickness of the reading - if it's so inaccurate what's the point? Rubbish.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish, 1 Nov. 2009
I bought this to contrast with Gina Ford's ridiculous regimented approach but it's just as bad only at the other end of the scale. The so called E.A.S.Y plan that the book advocates is so laidback it barely exists. I read through the book several times in an attempt to find out more about the E.A.S.Y plan and how to implement it but there is barely any detail at all. I still don't understand what the point is.

I may be being ignorant but this book simply appears to advocate a non existant plan showing varying scenarios of parents but without any solutions. It described some similar circumstances to the ones I found myself in but then just went on to describe other situations without giving advice or offering solutions. It contradicts itself and is very frustrating.

I also found it be almost anti-breastfeeding and patronising - 'no normal baby needs to feed every hour' sweeping statements such as this are not only inaccurate but also ignorant.
