The Hanging Garden (Inspector Rebus Book 9)
Price: £5.99

3.0 out of 5 stars OK but.., 1 Dec. 2016

Basically a good storyline but the frequent scene shifts and timeline changes spoil the satisfaction required for an easy read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Almost gave up, one you can 'put down', 1 July 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Something amiss with this one! Too much reliance on plot lines unfolding through conversations which is an easy way to create a story without first hand action. If this was indeed written by Lee Child, then we must assume he has lost the ability to keep the reader in the action as per all his previous Jack Reacher books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read, 13 Feb. 2015

Great storyline looking at both sides of the story as it unfolds. Well written and easy reading does not resort to telling the plot through conversations a common get out in many novels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great update of the best of Anita, 1 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great live update rendition of Anita's best tracks. This album will revitalize your appreciation of this great blues songstress. All the better for being a live recording which includes verbal additions by Anita herself during the concert. "Simply fantastic" !!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nearly but not quite, 24 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
So much potential in the storyline, let down by too many periods letting the plot unfold through discussion and isolated thought processes. Not sufficient 'action' recording. Full marks for the incidental Welsh references though. adds somewhat to the reality of the storyline. Drake's character could be explored further and the fleeting references to his OCD issues fail to fully exploit the psychological intrigue.

3.0 out of 5 stars Spoiled by the 'mixer', 28 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a superb rendition by Julian Bream, however the recording is somewhat ruined by the studio who failed to get the volume synchronisation correct. As a result the fantastic and sensitive guitar work is completely overwhelmed by the orchestral passages which are imbalanced to the degree of distortion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soulful, 10 Oct. 2013

A fantastic piece with undoubtedly the very best instrumental 'riff' of all timeby Brian May which emphasises the great feeling being so eloquently expressed by the HIV struck Freddie Mercury. Pure passion in song!! First rate

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 6 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I gave this two hours before I had to concede. Pointless sub plots and a slow build up meant no satisfaction with the week story beyond half way through. To go on would be admitting that time means nothing to me. Better to stop than plough on aimlessly with a story a child could write. Sorry John Grisham, just not good enough.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great, 27 Sept. 2013

Works great and very intuitive. No fiddling around required. Only shortcomming is the lack of freeze and rewind facilities. Also no actual 'catch up'of past programmes. Also, you cannot switch channels during adverts which I suppose is the income generator.
