4.0 out of 5 stars does what it says, and well., 5 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I spent many hours looking for a watch with multiple vibrating alarms that didn't cost the earth, and didn't look like some big ugly cooking timer, which seemed to be the alternative.

Since the other major digital watch manufacturer can't seem to tell you which of their watches have this feature very reliably on their website, I went with this Timex for which the spec was clear.

This watch does the job perfectly. It has 3 alarms, all of which vibrate for 10 seconds, followed by an audible alarm for 20. If you don't switch it off, it does it again 5 minutes later- perfect if you managed to miss it, although the vibration is pretty firm so you're unlikely to (unless you wear your watches loose).

It also has 3 time zones, hydration timer (it vibrates at intervals to drink during a workout), "occasion reminder" (you can put in birthdays and anniverseries etc) stopwatch, countdown etc. All these features you can "hide" if you won't use them.

"indiglo" light is nice too. The compass points round the edge are a nice touch, but superfluous-this watch doesn't have any kind of navigation tools on it.

This only misses out on 5 stars because the design could be a little more attractive, and it has only 3 alarms, where others have 5. Good price for the functionality though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Suitable for most..., 8 Oct. 2011
This review is from: Science News (Kindle Edition)
I can see the pespective of the other reviewer, but I don't think this publication is too bad.
Although it doesn`t always go into as much depth as i`d like, its a reasonably easy read, so it's understandable even if you're not that familiar with the topic.
It might not be totally up to the minute, but it's still worth a read since there aren't many other 'general' science publications on Kindle yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, but some compatibility issues, 14 May 2008
I have a third generation ipod nano (the current model). Unfortunately I was not able to get this product to work with my Ipod, despite trying two of these. Intermittently, it would respond slowly to the control, but at others did nothing at all.

It DOES however, work very well with the 2nd Generation Ipod Nano, and if you're buying for this purpose, it's a brilliant product and is well made. Only complaint is that size wise, the receiver is made for a standard size ipod, so looks a little bulky on the bottom of a nano, but even so, still worth buying.
