5.0 out of 5 stars Dante for a new age, 4 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: DmC (PS3) (Video Game)
Been a DMC fan since the original, and to be honest the series was losing its way a bit.

This reboot is exactly what the doctor ordered. It's modern, stylish and packed with fast paced action. The combat system is smooth, allowing the use of the various weapons to chain of huge combos. The story was decent. Most of all, the new "anarchist" Dante is brilliant, keeping all the comedy one liners from his predecessor but with a bit more edge.

Highly recommended for anyone that enjoys brutal, faced paced action games like God of War or Heavenly Sword.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what it says on the tin, 24 Oct. 2012
I found the book incredibly slow and took a long time for the main plot to start, even for a Horus Heresy book. Was extremely disappointed to discover this book is not told through the eyes of a Space Marine, but a lowly mortal archeologist - but not a cool one like India Jones, more a slightly geeky Channel 4 documentary one. The story itself is not bad, but I really wished it was more obvious what was in it. I buy Space Marine books to read about Space Marines after all...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great game, but even more bugs than the original New Vegas, 4 Mar. 2012
Enjoyed Fallout New Vegas a lot when it came out, but hadn't played the DLC so decided to buy the ultimate edition.

Big mistake. The Ultimate Edition has even more bugs than the original New Vegas. The original used to freeze on me roughly once every 5-6 hours; the ultimate edition freeze roughly every 10 minutes. It's incredibly frustrating that the only way I can play the game, is by avoiding certain areas and locations. I also have to instant kill anyone with a flame-thrower because the second I catch fire, the game freezes.

Would have thought the bugs from the original would be fixed, but it turns out they are even worse. Avoid at all costs; I recommend buying the original and downloading the DLC from the PS3 online store instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for students new to investments and banking., 7 Dec. 2011
This review is from: Investments (Paperback)
Excellent book. Very concise, well written and easy to follow. It had been a number of years since I studied any of these concepts and the book brought me back up to speed in no time. Would be very good for students looking to refresh their understanding, or for students new to the field.

2.0 out of 5 stars About as entertaining as Lesner VS Goldberg (that's sarcasim btw)., 11 Jun. 2006
This game has a major analogy with the famous Lesner VS Goldberg match in that it was hyped up to no end, but is actually MAJOR disappointed.

Unlike the older games, you have little or no choice over the way your storyline develops with virtually every decision made for you. You have little or no interaction with the rival brand. No matter how badly you beat an opponent, he will keep standing up after 5 seconds, so forget trying to hit the frogsplash. The moves are badly thought out; example - if you hit the Tombstone with the Undertaker, he will almost everytime turn and walk a few steps, meaning he hits the opponent right next to the ropes so they always kick out.

The "Create a Wrestler" is far too detailed and difficult to do, I eventually lost interest with frustration and went back to playing exhibitions.

All in all, this game was extremly disappointing.
