1.0 out of 5 stars An insult to rock and roll., 17 Dec. 2016
Just when you think the music buying public couldn't be insulted anymore along comes this atrocious album in time for the Christmas cash registers.

4.0 out of 5 stars worth a punt!, 28 Jun. 2016

4* for the performance, 4* for the sound (was recorded on the radio!) and 1* for the gap between the tracks.
In my honest opinion this line up of megadeth (mustaine/Samuelson/Poland/Ellefson) were the best speed metal band on the planet for 2 reasons, Samuelson and Poland. They were in a different league to anyone else at that time and this is awesome to listen to for that reason alone. Mustaine is not exactly 100% on this show but is carried really well and all the best tracks are here. Great to replace my old cassette that was taped off the Friday rock show back in 1987 with Tommy Vance!

Stellar stuff. I paid £11.99 and have already got my money's worth from "dance of life" alone. Incredible musicianship across these albums. Totally recommended aswell as the other 3album on 2 cd set that was recently released. You can't go wrong!!

5.0 out of 5 stars total agreement!!, 23 Aug. 2012

This album is great! One of my most played Warrant cd's. i love everything they did and got into them via cherry pie and am glad they constantly evolved with each album. Unfortunately a lot of Jani Lane's true life unhappiness manifests itself in these recordings and if you look into the lyrics you could see a burn out coming a mile off.
Anyhow if you are thinking of buying this then be prepared to be patient with it as its a deep album. Theres no cherry pie here but their early stuff is great too. god bless Jani Lane....

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Rock Album!!!, 22 Aug. 2012
What a great find this was!! Had no idea this existed until Jani Lanes sad passing away and after a year thought it was time to give this another spin. Basically if you like the hard edged American rock sound of the 80's then you cant really go to far wrong. Alice Coopers guitarist meets Warrants singer meets Ratts rythmn section. All the songs hold up and there are no clunkers. great cd for the car. i hope jani is at peace now and i am truly grateful for his musical output over the years and this is way up there!

Jani Lane's Back down to one CD is a very worthwile purchase for anyone who likes Warrant or Saints of the Underground. After Jani's recent passing i thought i would fill in a few blanks of his catalogue and am really glad i bought this.
The songs are rocky and catchy and the album is never boring to my ears. has been in my car stereo for the last fortnight. Great Stuff from a great artist who sadly was pidgeonholed as a hit single pop-metal guy when he really was so much more than that.
Rest in peace Jani Lane...

4.0 out of 5 stars great but...., 10 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Live At Donington 1990 (Audio CD)
i have to agree with the chap who said about the editing, its a shame that despite the blistering sound quality, its been tampered with. adrian vandenbergs solo where he went out of key in slide it in has been "fixed" and coverdales vocals in is this love i believe have been mixed down/ tampered with too. whether this bothers you or not is individual opinion but those that are buying it as a souvenir of an occasion should be aware of this.
i am glad i bought this though as its a great statement of the times when rock music was fun and carefree. you have to thank coverdale and co for that. i must also say that surely some of the solo spots could have been curtailed for a couple more good album tracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars unbelievable..., 10 Jun. 2011

ok, here goes...
first and foremost, this is ozzy's greatest album and though it maybe 30 years old, it still totally stands up as his finest effort. a great band with one of the greatest rock guitarists ever. this album IS the original recordings remastered not the spiteful (sharon ordered) re-recordings of 2002.
the bonus live concert is worth paying for alone as it really is fantastic. this could be re-released every year and will probably always make my album of the year.
i love ozzy but a steady decline ensued after this (although i love the jake e lee era too)mind you, how do you top this???
blizzard of ozz, diary and tribute... god bless you randy rhoads....
