The Jabberwock Anomaly: Volume 1 (The Jabberwock Continuum)
The Jabberwock Anomaly: Volume 1 (The Jabberwock Continuum)
by Patrick J Stoner
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars One for the Sci Fi Buff, 30 April 2015
This is a book for the real Sci-Fi buff. No phenomenon goes unexplained, which slows the story, but that is just as well for the plot is a whirlwind of different locations and sub-plots and takes concentration to follow. The rewards are some fascinating characters, such as a flawed hero, and beautiful but horribly-sadistic villains. The locations are fantastical, including a planet that has been devoured by plants. I enjoyed the unexpected twists, and the excellent descriptions but I would have liked more romance. This is a book that needs time to read, long stretches of time or one will forget vital elements. I would have loved this as a teenager, when I read obsessively, especially science fiction. Alas it has come out many decades too late, but I still look forward to the next instalment.

5.0 out of 5 stars much admired, 10 Jan. 2011
These lights have been much admired. They give an impression of falling snow. The longer ones have a bottom light that stays lit longer - which gives a mesmerising effect.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for anyone in IT, 21 July 2009
This is an hilarious book with some laugh-aloud moments. But, more importantly, it outlines many of the absurdities in IT management. Anyone in charge of an IT department MUST read this book and, hopefully, avoid the pitfalls and pratfalls it amusingly describes.
