Every bit as good as my childhood memories, 31 July 2012
My mother read this book to me when I was a child, and I loved it (we also read The Pirates of the Deep Green Sea). Linklater's story is full of pace, wit and surprises. Set in mid-20th Century England, The Wind on the Moon still appeals to the imagination and sense of adventure of the reader, even in an age deeply coloured by computer games, hollywood and modern fiction such as Harry Potter. A great read!
